“We recently made the decision to renovate our small 20+ year old kitchen. Although we knew generally what we wanted it to look like, neither of us have any design experience so we didn’t quite know how to proceed. Since our kitchen is small and we were able to perform much of the work ourselves, the main issue for us was coordinating a consistent look in terms of style, design and color. We contacted Jennifer Horvath at Wild Plum Interiors & Staging of Downers Grove to help us incorporate the elements we wanted into an overall plan. She was very nice, professional, easy to work with, and quite skilled at coordinating different design elements. Many times designers pretend to listen to their customers, but then develop a look the designer likes. But Jennifer really listened to what we wanted and went with us to a local showroom to help us make some further decisions. She made suggestions that achieved the look we wanted, while enhancing it with nuanced and subtle design/color suggestions that turned a good end-result into a great end-result! We never realized that getting just the right colors and characteristics of the various elements (cabinets, tile, counters, lighting, paint, etc.) was so important, but with Jennifer’s help we were able to make the right decisions and it turned out great and we are thrilled with the finished project! We would definitely consult with her again on future projects.”

“We had our Victorian home on the market last year for a little over three months, and never got an offer. We took it off the market for the winter and had some small cosmetic work done to the interior. When we considered putting the house back on the market this Spring, we knew we needed to do more to attract buyers. Our realtors were very busy scheduling and showing the house, based on the interest the photos generated, from the minute the listing was posted, and within two hours they had four showing scheduled. The cost was very fair for the quality of the furniture and the job she did, and the quality of both brought us the right buyers. Irvana was incredibly professional and accommodating! She did everything we asked, and more, bringing her own experience to bear and guiding us to make the right decisions. We can not recommend her highly enough!”
