“Zaid has made a custom headboard, reupholstered an antique chaise lounge, reupholstered the back of a chair (and took the extra step of taking fabric remnants to replace soiled piping), and repaired and made Kuba cloth pillows for me (again, he took the extra step of suggesting a back facing due to the delicate nature of the fabric). Some of this work was done 7 years ago (all are still together), some within the past 2 months. The work is of the highest quality. Zaid is friendly and accommodating. Prices are always fair. “I had an old favorite chair I wanted to have reupholstered. After calling several local places with high rankings online and getting quotes that made it cost prohibitive, I followed the recommendation of an interior designer friend and took the chair to Olga at Victor's Upholstery (312.774.6609, 3105 W. Montrose Ave). I just got the chair back yesterday and could not be more pleased. Olga did a beautiful job, above and beyond my expectations. She's really skilled and showed such care with every detail. She made me a matching pillow and fitted arm covers, restrapped the seat where it had grown old and brittle, and repainted the base where it had been scuffed. I supplied the fabric and Olga worked her magic. The chair looks better than it did new--I was blown away when I saw the finished product. And the price was incredibly reasonable. Olga comes with my highest recommendation!”
