“We built our modern house two years ago here in Los Angeles, California and have been populating it with new pieces since we moved in. Many pieces we knew we wanted and how we would use long before construction was completed, but there was one piece (a 'coffee table') we just couldn't quite put our finger on for our media room. We had found a wonderful sectional by Canadian company Gus*, a great side chair, credenza, and small enamel-top side table by CB2, but we couldn't find the last piece, that 'just right' coffee table that was simpatico with the entire design zeitgeist of the room. It was juussssttt right. When it arrived a few weeks later (handmade to order) it fit like the last puzzle-piece; like it was made for the space, because it was! Throughout Derek's communication was excellent. He was always responsive to my inquiries, etc. The piece was excellently packed and quickly shipped upon completion. Truly, this a one-of-a-kind piece that will become an heirloom for our daughter. Or I may just have it buried with me! “Heart of Timber created a custom workbench for my garage. This is not your typical workbench as I'm a DJ and my workspace is dedicated to housing both tools for my house as well as tools-of-the trade for my equipment. I needed a workbench that suited specific needs: 1) it was a standing work-space 2) I could buy a chair to make it a seated workspace and that a crossbar would be adjustable in height to accommodate foot placement (avoid feet hanging) and 3) that it looked as beautiful as it was durable.
