“I have purchased amazing art at Michael Mitchell galleries and engaged Michael as an interior designer to complete my pied-a-terre in Charleston SC's historic district. Michael bonds with his clients and gets to know their style and preferences. He and his team have great ideas and select new and different items to bring a sense of style, comfort and ambiance reflecting the client's wants. I love my little "jewel box" in Charleston and never could have achieved its specialness without Michael and his design style and unique furnishings and accessories.”

“I always look forward to a trip to GDC Home! I come out with a purchase of some kind almost every time. Although I live in a major metropolitan area (Charlotte), I find the inventory, selection and ease of shopping at GDC one of the most pleasant experiences in decorating. I have used GDC in our primary residence, as well as at second homes in Kiawah and Surry County, NC. Besides major home case goods - furniture, rugs, bedding - they also have a wonderful selection of home accessories and gifts - including books, candles, china/crystal. They also have a very good buyer for jewelry, purses, etc. GDC runs frequent sales and specials as well - we bought multiple upholstered furniture from Lee Industries during their promotion. GDC also helped us get furniture to the residence in NC. Very unfortunate that furniture made an hour or so away from NC residences cannot b shipped to NC but must go through seller first.....but that is not GDC's fault and they have excellent delivery & shipping companies out of Charleston.”

“Keith did a fantastic job assisting us with picking out a new bedroom set for our home. We came in to his store, described our needs and he showed us what he could do to help us. While we were there he had numerous customers asking him for his help and he displayed his masterful strength in helping each and every customer simultaneously with his warm personalized attention. This is a small businessman that you can trust ...and he kept us within our tight budget which I believe says a lot about him and what he wants to achieve businesswise. Our bedroom furniture purchases arrived safely, his deliverymen/ installers were true professionals and Keith's followup was amazing. “When building our house on Sullivan's, I happened to walk into Coralberry Cottage with two pillows I liked. That was three years ago and Rutledge has decorated not only that house but another house in the Midlands. She took those pillows and listened to our needs and my color choices and created the perfect atmosphere for both of our homes. She mixed practicality with relaxed elegance. We receive so many compliments on everything Coralberry Cottage provided from our custom made banquette to custom tables to slip-covered furniture to lamps. When I walked into Coralberry Cottage that day, I was not looking for an interior decorator because I have had a few who did not listen to our desires and needs. Rutledge, Nadine, and the others at Coralberry Cottage listen and provide numerous options based on the customers' vision. No one can come close to their dedication to customer service.”

“I hired Drew Taylor with Carpenters Antiques and Restoration because his business had been around for many years and had a good local reputation. The primary consideration was his assurance the he would be able to refinish my 27 year old stained cabinets which were dreadfully in need of some TLC. Most of the other professionals I consulted wanted to paint my cabinets. This was not what we wanted. Drew's crew were neat and well mannered which was appreciated since I spent a considerable amount of time in my home with them. They made every effort to accommodate my needs while working on this project and our finished product was exceeded my expectations.”

“Morris Sokol Furniture's interior designer Joyce Keeney helped us to pick out our living room decorative pieces, our framed art and our really nice furniture and did a fabulous job ...especially because we didn't know what we wanted when we walked in. She spent a lot of time with us in the showroom and that extra effort she delivered was a godsend to us. Without her charming attentiveness to our style and personalities I do not think we could have done it. The delivery went smoothly and overall the service we received at Morris Sokol Furniture was very professional. 5 star in my book”
