“After seeing some work done by MIH Consulting, we were able to meet with Dia Hunter to discuss our basement project. Right away his professionalism stood out as he verbally took us through the steps of the project. Following our initial consultation, we met at his office to cover the detail and cost of our project. Our project entailed various phases and the respective specialist that were assigned provided quality work. Mr. Hunter reviewed the quality of the work performed before moving on to the next phase of the project, always checking with us to see if the work and progress was meeting our expectations. Dia Hunter managed and monitored the project very closely and the end result was a finished basement that we are most pleased with. “Latitude 33 Design & Construction recently completed a laundry/mud room remodel for us, and I could not be any happier with the results! They were not the only company that we considered, but they stood out right from the first meeting. Mary listened to me when I described how I needed the room to function, and she and Carlos worked together to completely deliver a room that exceeded my expectations! They both have an eye for minute detail, and I fully trusted them from the very beginning. Mary has an eye for design, and Carlos is a skilled craftsman. The contractors that they employ (an electrician and drywall contractor for our job) are also masters of their skill and of the highest integrity. Everyone was courteous and respectful of our time and home. We felt the cost of the project was competitive and fair. They were mindful of our budget and came up with cost effective solutions wherever they could. “Carl Mattison Design is truly a full service design house. Carl met with my husband and I a few months prior to begining our kitchen and bath remodel project. He helped us to think through many different options for our space. He was very creative and came up with a design proposal which utilized our kitchen space in a way we had never considered. At first we were hesitant to make such a dramatic change in our almost 100 year old house, but ultimately we selected this design- dubbed "The Ultimate" and we could not be happier! We discussed budget with Carl at the onset of this project and he never lost sight of that parameter. When my husband and I decided to increase our budget, Carl was the one who keep us realistic and worked to help keep cost down. In a house as old as ours it's not surprising that quirks and problems arose. Carl never gave up on finding the most practical, budget friendly solution and was always available to meet when we needed him. He also made himself available to our contractor which made the process smoother when quick decisions or details were needed. Carl helped us to narrow down difficult choices for small and large decisions and always replied quickly when I problems arose. He is always on time and also fun to work with! I happily recommend Carl Mattison Design to all my friends and neighbors who have come to check out our new and beautiful space!”

“I cannot say enough good things about SCAL. We have been using Danny and his team for more than 25 years. He has remodeled our kitchen twice, built a brand new second story to our house, and added a third story under our house. We have never sought another bid from another contractor since our first job. The workmanship is first rate and the communications process is better than any other contractor relationship I know of. One specific episode sticks in my mind. During the second story renovation, and before the house was weatherproofed, a rain storm came in. It was February, and at about 9 pm Danny came to the house (un prompted) to check on the condition of the temporary tarp. He climbed up on the roof in the pouring rain to check that it was secure. If contractors could earn medals for conduct "above and beyond," Danny won one that night. We lived in the house for all of the renovations except for the first. Danny was always solicitous of our needs in living through the construction. He and his team listen, they respond, and they do what it takes to make sure the job comes off successfully. The creation of a living space under our house - which required excavating under the house to within 3 feet of the foundation - was an astounding feat of construction engineering. As he excavated, he had to continue to support the house, maintain utilities, and minimize cracks in 80-year old plaster. He had to waterproof the under ground space make sure the house was secure once it was complete. I would simply not have done the project if it was any other contractor. I understand the project was published in the Journal of Light Construction.”

“Ross and his team did a great job on our total renovation at Pinestream. We started with a beat up old ranch and ended up with a showpiece for a home worthy of magazine covers. Our Kitchen gets complements every time someone comes over. Ross did a good job of sticking to our budget and communicating through the entire process. Knowing Ross's background and experience I wouldn't hesitate to use him on any job large or small.”

“This is the first renovation I've done and it was amazing from start to finish. Denice was a mastermind at designing a kitchen to fit in my older craftsman home.
