“We inherited a 1970's "avocado green" galley kitchen. We did the best we could with simple homeowner improvements (replaced appliances, etc) but finally had to do a remodel. After interviewing several design/build firm, with went with Anthony Wilder. They created a design within our budget, and made some important safety upgrades that previous contractors had done incorrectly. We took out an interior wall and bumped out the back wall. We bought new high-end applicances, custom cabinets and installed hardwood floors. We also added a lovely back patio. The AWDB employees supervised every step of the remodel and made sure we were 100% satisfied. We love our new kitchen! It's been over 2 years and we still get compliments on its design and its beauty. Best of all, the total design and craftsmanship has greatly increased the value of our home.”

“My wife and I selected Michael Nash from among five separate bids for a considerable renovation and expansion of our home. Michael Nash was the second lowest bidder, but our confidence in Sonny Nazemin’s eye for design and considerable number of award-winning designs was crucial in our initial selection. We have a grand house in Reston built in the late 1960s. It has solid bones but really needed a whole house renovation. We also needed more space to house our extended family. Our project consisted of a new two-car garage, siding, roofing and a totally new floor consisting of a master suite and bathroom. From the start of the project I was impressed with the one price upfront to complete the project. Sonny navigated our plans through the difficult process of approval by our local Design Review Board. His personal attention and negotiation with the board led to the rapid approval of our project. Follow on work for our front porch and driveway was reasonably priced. When we requested a re-design of the ceilings for the master suite, Sonny spared no expense hiring several architects to arrive at the design we desired. His vision throughout the project ensured its success. ******************* EXTRA FOLLOW-ON WORK COMPLETED jANUARY 25, 2014 *********************** We gave Michael Nash extra follow-on work with our kitchen because we were so pleased with how our Master Suite and other work turned out. We told Sonny that we had a limited budget but wanted to get as much of the kitchen done as possible. He suggested that we keep our old cabinets and redo everything else. Sonny has a great eye for design and suggested that we take out some cabinets to open up the room. He helped us with color choices that made the kitchen modern and bright. They replaced the oven, the hood, the induction cooktop, the counter, the floor, the sink, repaired and replaced doors, painted the room and put in a new lighting system with ten canned lights. Michael Nash kept to a timetable except for the hood at the end, which was really unavoidable. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and recommend Michael Nash to our neighbors and friends.”

“We've used Anderson Design + Build twice now and plan to use them again. They completed a custom flagstone patio for us 2 years ago complete with matching bench seating, lighting and fire pit. We liked it so much, we hired them again to build a matching built-in bbq. All of which continues to receive glowing compliments. The owner Rob is honest, his prices fair, and his crews work hard. Only complaint is it can take a while to get estimates during busy times of year - so plan accordingly (If I could have given 4.5 stars I would have). We recommend them to friends and neighbors and feel good about doing so on here again.”

“Character was an excellent company to work with for our kitchen and bathroom remodel project. Our project manager, Jake was very attentive to al our questions and was onsite frequently, checking on progress, managing their crew and subcontractors. We have renovated other area's of our home in the past and have never had a truly pleasurable experience like we did working with Character. For the first time ever, I can say that the remodeling process was fun! “Construction & remodeling is a big business. There are many small & large companies competing in the field. What stand out about SB was 1- their estimates were very close to the actual cost, 2- they did the job on time & 3- they made no excuses like lots of others I have seen because they didn’t need to. “Very professional team starting from the sales representative to the installers. We went from an almost non-usable space because of the heat from the sun to a large outdoor space. This pergola is built to last with hardly any maintenance. Would definitely recommend Dream Design Construction.”

“We have used Winn Design on two different occasions. The first, in 2007, was a project to replace the exterior doors, windows, and siding of our 1969 ranch house. As part of the project, we added a natural wood portico to the front entrance. More than 5 years later we still have people stop to take pictures and ask us who has done the construction. In 2010 we contracted again with Winn to extend and completely remodel our kitchen. As this was our first experience with a project of this size, the design process was very daunting. However, Winn patiently worked with us over a few months through many revisions until we had a design that fit our needs and budget. During construction we went on vacation and the project manager sent us pictures and summaries on almost a daily basis so that we could keep up with the progress of the project. As the different trades came to the project we were impressed by the quality of the subcontractors Winn used. Several trades mentioned that Winn was one of their favorite companies to work with. Happy and skilled subcontractors are also key to a successful project! Renovations can be very intimidating and stressful on a marriage. We are very grateful that Winn, through their professionalism and quality of work, made the process as pleasant and successful as we might have hoped for. Now, with more than 2 years behind us, we know that we made the right choice to use them. There are many contractor horror stories out there, but you won’t have one with Winn.”

“Synergy's attention to detail has been outstanding throughout the planning phase of our renovation. Synergy's design team exceeded our expectations and as demolition has now begun we eagerly await the construction phase. We have every confidence that Synergy's team will once again wow us. Update: Our Kitchen/Great Room renovation is complete and Synergy's design and construction teams absolutely blew us away with their attention to detail and customer service. To be fair, it is not possible to completely convey our level of satisfaction in a short review. When is the last time you worked with a team of professionals whose standards for excellence exceed your own? Without fail, when we would raise a potential issue with Synergy we would find out they had already noticed it and created a plan to address it. Think about that for a moment, not push back, not an attempt to avoid extra work by saying there is no issue.
