“We had a 5-star experience with District Cabinetry (also known as District Custom Woodworks)! It started with the careful and thoughtful consideration of our needs and preferences in discussions with owner Benton Chrea. He asked great questions and listened carefully to our answers! He came up with a preliminary design that we modified with his help into its final form. We were so pleased in the planning stage for the initial project caused us to add 2 other projects for other rooms. In the end, he did a huge built-in for the study, another large one for the master bedroom, and transformed a very complicated master closet footprint into a design that maximized every bit of space available. He personally visited the house twice to ensure good measurements and to be sure that we all visualized the same end product. Benton will tell you that I have a lot of construction experience (as a developer and builder), and I quizzed him on technical details of the design that he was unused to from customers. Let us just say that we were at the same time discriminating and exacting and he had excellent answers to all of my concerns. The project was finished on time (actually, a little earlier than originally planned) and was finished exactly on budget. Frankly, in the beginning, I thought the proposed charges were kind of high, but we had seen some of his work and his showroom and had developed faith in him, his product and team. The final product is beautiful, met all our design and quality goals, and is clearly engineered and manufactured down to the millimeter. His installation team was fantastic! They spent the better part of 3 days installing and tweaking everything, making sure we understood how to take out the drawers (a little tricky, as they are fancy, really nice, European hardware), etc. The installers were friendly, careful, respectful of our home and were clearly focused on achieving a quality result and pleasing us. So, in the end, my concerns over price were entirely unfounded, because the time invested in creating the design, the quality of the actual product and the care and professionalism of the installers proved to me that my wife was right – we really should pick District Cabinetry for our project! We unhesitatingly endorse Benton and District Cabinetry! We love and use our 3 built-ins every day and appreciate their work (and our investment) every time we use it! We just finished building a pretty complex home and this vendor is at the top of our list in every respect. Our biggest regret in our new home is that we had to buy our kitchen from our builder, Toll Brothers. We would have much preferred to spend that budget at District Cabinetry to get a unique and custom kitchen adapted precisely to our tastes and needs, where our smaller projects tell us that they would have excelled! Please don’t think that I am a gushing kind of person. Neither of us are. We are simply that pleased! This is easily some of the best money we ever spent on any of our homes! If we can refer District Cabinetry to anyone, we will certainly do so. If we can use them again, we would not hesitate. In today’s world, getting what you paid for is a challenge. We got what we paid for in product and in service and could not be happier about it! PS I attach photos of the study built-in. It is hard to photograph the other ones, given their location.”

From initial visit to finish we were impressed with the time, effort and first class workmanship put into this. Every step was accounted for and our installed cabinet was finished on time and budget. “We have used to build a number of pieces in our home. We started with kitchen cabinetry and wall case for books and dining ware. We moved on to a TV stand that raises for watching and hides it out of sight when it is not being used. We also had Jay build a bookcase that fit into an unusual spot. All of our pieces were built by a craftsman - that is crystal clear. Jay is meticulous, transparent, and fair. He works very hard to make sure he understands your expectations and adjusts as necessary. His pricing is fair and everything is very open. For our first piece (and the first time we used Jay) he hunted for another wood supplier because he felt like the price was too high for us. It was, and we appreciated the extra effort. When COVID hit and Jay had to delay our last request, he was very responsive, letting us know each step of the way where things stood. We will use him for our future needs. He is just an exceptional craftsman and person.”

“We replaced the kitchen cabinet and added a custom island. Justin did an excellent job - design, advise - cabinets, rollers, various door models, colors and stains, offering various solutions, very price conscious and we took advantage of discounts not available for model doors at major retailers like Lowe's and Home Depot. For any questions or clarifications, we received answers (by phone or email) within hours. He brought all the merchandize with his truck at no additional charge, opened all the boxes, reviewed everything - we had a minor issue which he handled ]to our satisfaction, in front of us, with the manufacturer. Kraftmaid products and accessories ordered thru him are of excellent quality, arrived on time and were extremely easy to install. Will hire him again without any hesitation.”

“I wish that I could give Matt and company more stars! MJA Design was the perfect partner to update my 30-year old kitchen--friendly and professional interaction; and clear communication at every stage of the process. Going for an environmentally-friendly 1940s-style design, I had done a fair amount of legwork in advance with regard to likes/dislikes. It paid off because when it came to design challenges (the kitchen area is small), Matt, Tanya, and I easily brainstormed and worked through trade-offs. I'd had my heart set on an apron-front sink, for example, but when that wouldn't fit, Matt's cabinet design complemented Tanya's energetic research to find a suitable alternative. As a result, we found a spectacular Kohler cast iron enamel sink that perfectly suits the character and scale of my kitchen. Matt's cabinets are built to last; as is his crowning glory--a beautiful walnut top to the peninsula. I've received several "oohs and aahs" as guests take note of the exceptional craftsmanship. Finally, Larry demonstrated master craftsman skill, ideas, and attention to detail--it was a pleasure to watch him daily make the dream a reality. “We met Tea some years ago when she completed a 3D rendering for a couple of pieces of furniture built for our small dining room. The job had been completed by two other people who then moved on to another business. We contacted Tea when we could not find an adequate replacement for a vanity and after learning that she has been working with her husband, we set up a time to meet. This meeting took place at the end of April. Tea and George came to our home and carefully listened to what we wanted, thoroughly reviewed our options and patiently addressed questions and concerns. It was challenging for us to adequately describe the piece we needed and George and Tea did a fabulous job of elucidating what they heard. George even drew a sketch to help us "see" the piece he thought we wanted. They then took careful measurements. We had no idea how expensive this piece of furniture would be and when George gave us an estimate of the "ideal" vanity, we were stunned. It was far more than we expected it to be. We asked for a price for a less intricate vanity and it was graciously provided. George and Tea exerted absolutely no pressure to opt for the higher priced piece. This was greatly appreciated. It was decided that Tea would do renderings of the simpler, less expensive vanity as well as drawings of the more elaborate vanity. We understood that the cost of the renderings would be absorbed by the cost of the vanity we ultimately chose and would not be covered should we decide to do nothing. This was very fair and the renderings proved just how fair this actually was. Tea emailed the renderings soon after our meeting and they were extremely lifelike. It allowed us to fully visualize the two different options. She also generously offered to answer any questions we had about specific details. Emails were always answered quickly and professionally. We ultimately decided to go with the more expensive option. We had been told that the piece would not be started until summer and were surprised when Tea emailed in early July to say it was just about to be completed. I had neglected to ask her to include one small detail, believing that the piece would not be ready until August, and she graciously agreed to add the detail as the piece was not entirely finished. We set up a date for delivery and as usual, Tea and George arrived on time. George kindly helped move the old vanity out of our bedroom before carrying the new piece upstairs. The rendering of this vanity was quite realistic but did not prepare us for the startling beauty of the actual piece of furniture. We were stunned when George removed the plastic! The vanity was a work of art! Not only was the piece a perfect match to our existing furniture, it addressed all that we wanted and reflected a superior degree of craftsmanship. George thought of small details to enhance the efficiency of the piece and to ensure its ease of use. Instead of simply gluing the mirror to the back panel with no concern for future issues, he installed a removable piece above the mirror so that it could be easily replaced should it become necessary to do so. This is just one example of his forethought and skill. After seeing the piece, we clearly understood the cost and believe it was an extremely fair price for what we have. Our experience was completely positive, from exchanges with this engaging, respectful and talented couple, to the finished product. We highly recommend them.”

“They do amazing work! We had our kitchen and master bathroom remodeled by Chantilly Kitchen & Bath. Neither room had any major updates since the house was built in 1992. Quinn and his team gave us the dream kitchen and bathroom that we've always wanted... and then some! Right from the start, it was a fantastic experience. Quinn took time to really talk through what we were looking for so that he could get the layout that worked best for us. We wanted to completely get rid of our tub in the bathroom, remove the old shower, and create a very large shower on the other side of the room. So, it wasn't just a little facelift. Catherine helped us pick out all of the items for our kitchen and bathroom - cabinets, counters, tile, paint, faucets, etc. She made wonderful suggestions based on what we liked, and she was very attentive and patient throughout all of our indecisiveness. I ended up falling in love with a very specific bathroom accent tile, and she went and hunted down the countertop that would bring the whole bathroom together. Without her help, we would have been completely lost. The team that worked in our house was professional, polite, efficient, and meticulous. My husband peppered them with questions throughout the process about how to do random things, and they took the time to answer and show him how to do them. Quinn and Catherine both came by frequently to check on the progress throughout the entire project. Also, after the project was complete, they followed up with us to make sure we were happy and there were no problems. They didn't just disappear after the project was done. Quinn and Catherine really guided us through the entire process; we never felt overwhelmed or unsure. They responded to all of our questions very quickly via, text, email, calls, etc. It seriously couldn't have been a better experience, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.”
