“Mike designed and built three custom pieces for me. Two side light windows made of ruby red glass and crystal inlays. The other was a custom piece depicting my beach house on Nantucket Island for which he used rare glass in shades of green, grey, sand and blue - it is fabulous and museum quality. “Peter Miller is a remarkable talent with the gift of greatly enhancing art acquired by collectors. For the collector, the thrill is in the acquired piece. Peter doubles that thrill by displaying it in manner that emotionalizes the art. Visualize a remarkable carved wooden Buddha with enriched gilding that better captures its original state. Visualize an 8 x 10 oil painting of a tiny sailboat on the great expanse of the open sea captured in a handcrafted box frame that illustrates the enormity of that open ocean. “I met Debra first when I had a client who had left the area and had me list her home to sell. The home she really loved and even after she left was talking about it and how much she missed it. Well, Debra came to my mind immediately and she did such a wonderful drawing of her house that when I sent it to my client, she called and so touched by it. お部屋を飾るインテリアとなる作品を作るアーティストや工芸家には、次のような種類があります。
  • 画家：絵画制作の専門家。広義ではイラストレーターやグラフィックデザイナーも含まれます。一般的に、画家が自らの創作意欲に基づいて自分の描きたいテーマで作品を仕上げて絵画を販売するのに比べ、イラストレーターやグラフィックデザイナーはクライアントからの依頼に基づいて作品を作るところが大きな違いです。
  • 版画家：版画で作品を表現するアーティスト。版画は、木、金属、石などの面に像を描き、その上にインクなどを塗って紙に転写して絵画を作成する方法で、木版画、銅版画、リトグラフ（石版画）など色々な種類があります。
  • 工芸家：実用品に芸術的な手を加えた作品をつくる専門家。「クラフトデザイナー」とも呼ばれます。扱う素材により、木工工芸家、ガラス工芸家、染色工芸家などさまざまな種類があります。陶芸家や彫刻家も広義では工芸家と言えます。
  • 陶芸家：粘土を整形し窯で焼いて陶磁器などをつくる専門家。「陶工」とも呼ばれます。
  • 彫刻家：素材を彫り込んで立体作品、オブジェなどをつくる専門家。
