I was in the process of renovating my kitchen and Tyler was recommended to me by Eric Gomes, who was refacing my kitchen cabinets. Based on his presentation, I hired him immediately and couldn't be happier. He offered suggestions that improved the final result, was never late and stayed on budget. I ended up having him do far more work, all of which was perfect. He and Eric (who has unfortunately since moved to Montana) were THE best contractors I have ever hired!”

お部屋を飾るインテリアとなる作品を作るアーティストや工芸家には、次のような種類があります。
  • 画家：絵画制作の専門家。広義ではイラストレーターやグラフィックデザイナーも含まれます。一般的に、画家が自らの創作意欲に基づいて自分の描きたいテーマで作品を仕上げて絵画を販売するのに比べ、イラストレーターやグラフィックデザイナーはクライアントからの依頼に基づいて作品を作るところが大きな違いです。
  • 版画家：版画で作品を表現するアーティスト。版画は、木、金属、石などの面に像を描き、その上にインクなどを塗って紙に転写して絵画を作成する方法で、木版画、銅版画、リトグラフ（石版画）など色々な種類があります。
  • 工芸家：実用品に芸術的な手を加えた作品をつくる専門家。「クラフトデザイナー」とも呼ばれます。扱う素材により、木工工芸家、ガラス工芸家、染色工芸家などさまざまな種類があります。陶芸家や彫刻家も広義では工芸家と言えます。
  • 陶芸家：粘土を整形し窯で焼いて陶磁器などをつくる専門家。「陶工」とも呼ばれます。
  • 彫刻家：素材を彫り込んで立体作品、オブジェなどをつくる専門家。

アートの作家本人が作品を販売するケースもありますが、有名なアーティストになると、美術品を扱う専門家が仲介することがほとんどです。
  • 美術商：アーティストから作品を仕入れて販売する専門家。「アートディーラー」とも呼ばれます。
  • 画商：美術商の中でも、特に絵画を扱う専門家。作品を展示するスペースをもつ場合は、「画廊」や「ギャラリー」と呼ばれます。
  • 古美術商：美術商の中でも、特に古い時代の作品、いわゆる骨董品・アンティークを扱う専門家。

クリエーター本人が自分の作品を販売する場合は、特定商取引法に注意する必要があります。
