“Katherine has made several items for me ranging from a framed panel/picture to coaster mats, small bowls and a bird water bowl. She was happy for me to collaborate with her on the design of the panel that I commissioned for a friend's birthday. I was very pleased (and so was the recipient) with the finished article.   • 工芸家：実用品に芸術的な手を加えた作品をつくる専門家。「クラフトデザイナー」とも呼ばれます。扱う素材により、木工工芸家、ガラス工芸家、染色工芸家などさまざまな種類があります。陶芸家や彫刻家も広義では工芸家と言えます。
  • 陶芸家：粘土を整形し窯で焼いて陶磁器などをつくる専門家。「陶工」とも呼ばれます。
  • 彫刻家：素材を彫り込んで立体作品、オブジェなどをつくる専門家。
