“We commissioned Mendo to create 3 main peices for our new home.. It was my first foray into the world of custom art, and Mendo was fantastic to deal with.. He came to the home, got a feel for our decor, then showed us a bunch of previous work, while making some suggestions. We picked the style we were after, and Mendo took care of the rest. “My courtyard at home had a very stark besser block was courtesy of my neighbours renovation. The original plan was to cover it with a climber plant but after looking at some other options decided on a mural. The first job was to find an artist to do the work and good on Google suggested Mark. Right from our first meeting, I was impressed with Mark, in particular his enthusiasm for the mural. He spent a full day working on it and it was fascinating to see it evolve over that time to the finished product. I am so happy with it and have received so many compliments from visitors.”

お部屋を飾るインテリアとなる作品を作るアーティストや工芸家には、次のような種類があります。
  • 画家：絵画制作の専門家。広義ではイラストレーターやグラフィックデザイナーも含まれます。一般的に、画家が自らの創作意欲に基づいて自分の描きたいテーマで作品を仕上げて絵画を販売するのに比べ、イラストレーターやグラフィックデザイナーはクライアントからの依頼に基づいて作品を作るところが大きな違いです。
  • 版画家：版画で作品を表現するアーティスト。版画は、木、金属、石などの面に像を描き、その上にインクなどを塗って紙に転写して絵画を作成する方法で、木版画、銅版画、リトグラフ（石版画）など色々な種類があります。
  • 工芸家：実用品に芸術的な手を加えた作品をつくる専門家。「クラフトデザイナー」とも呼ばれます。扱う素材により、木工工芸家、ガラス工芸家、染色工芸家などさまざまな種類があります。陶芸家や彫刻家も広義では工芸家と言えます。
  • 陶芸家：粘土を整形し窯で焼いて陶磁器などをつくる専門家。「陶工」とも呼ばれます。
  • 彫刻家：素材を彫り込んで立体作品、オブジェなどをつくる専門家。
