Kass Wilson, creative director of WallsTreat Studio, elevates faux finishes and decorative painting to the level of true artistry. Our relationship with our clients fosters a sense of adventure. Each project is viewed as a singular work of art that responds to the total experience of any environment. We see beauty in the unusual . . . combining styles that are sophisticated yet provocative, traditional with a contemporary twist, or simplicity with bold patterns to provide a new point of view. These surfaces are anything but conventional . . . they are inspirational.

MarianneB Paintings features bold-colored abstract large-scale canvas paintings, created using mixed media, palette knives, recycled credit cards and the artist's fingers. When I picked up the paints, my future just came to me and exploded -- my love of bringing layers upon layers of acrylic paint together with mixed other media while working on composing a canvas. My supply cabinet has expanded over the years to include other materials such as ink, sand, copper powder, marble powder, firewood ashes and textiles. Every time I work with my tools of choice - brushes, plastic cards, my fingers, scrapers, pallet knives - to bring the soft creamy acrylic paint onto the canvas, and the result is always a pleasant surprise. To satisfy my creative needs, while I paint I do not pay attention to formal rules. My abstract styles range from pure abstract - an evocation of emotion or the time of the year, to abstract flower/figure paintings which, while still abstract, are a more concrete vision of what I see in the world, what I feel in the environment and how I sense the seasons of the year. My work can be seen in many different galleries and expositions in Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Nevada,North Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC, The Netherlands, Germany, India, Singapore, Romania and Majorca.

I created AlignBetween Art | Design to give my fine art photography & design a "home". I have been a photographer for over 20 years, first with black & white film and yes, even beginning in a darkroom. Although I’m completely digital now, those years with film taught me what I consider to be the essence of photography: light, balance, symmetry and composition. The beauty of a shadow laying “just so”. The stunning lines and shapes of architecture, both historic and modern. And nature, with its innate symmetry and perfection - endless opportunities to capture something powerful or delicate - from fresh cut flowers to wildly shimmering leaves in a lush forest. In terms of design in architecture and decor, I am drawn to mid-century modern. I have a love for warm wood & clean lines. My work however, spans any specific design “genre”. Perhaps its safe to say its contemporary. It’s fluid and adaptable. That’s a beautiful consequence of photography as an art - it can really go just about anywhere. There is an interesting and exciting line between art and design. AlignBetween is an experiment with this very concept.
