“Andrea did a live event painting for our wedding. We had a great experience working with her. She came out to the venue before the event to start to make a plan for what she wanted to paint. She listened to our suggestions and took note of the parts of the painting that were most important to us - for example, we wanted a particular tree to really stand out in the final product. During the event, our guests had a great time chatting with her and seeing the progress of the painting. It took a couple of months to get the finished product, but it was worth it. We love the painting. It captures everything we'd asked for, and she even incorporated some elements that became special throughout the night - like the beautiful full moon that hung in the sky over the venue. We'd absolutely recommend her!”

“Review for: Shawn Lovell Metalworks Shawn and I had the uncommon experience of working from opposite ends of the country via phone conferences, e-mails, sketches and revisions sent back and forth. This never proved a barrier to her process of understanding my needs and desires for my project, as well as the limitations and constraints imposed by building codes and specifics of the installation. Shawn embraced whatever challenges there were by creating, if this can be said, a fluid design with restraint. Since she and I had never met and, in her wish to create an artistic piece that matched my style and personality, we started the design process with a several photos of my new house as well as the natural setting which surrounds it. My keen preference was to connect the world outside with my indoor environment. I also desired a railing that was simple and organic, something to complement my timber frame construction, not stand apart from it. My house is small and has an open concept so it was important that the railing blend. Shawn's ability to thoughtfully listen and flesh out the preferences and ideas of her clients is matched by her ability to skillfully execute the design once there is a meeting of minds. Though it was no easy matter, in all the ways I'd hoped, she admirably met my self described needs. Under normal circumstances, Shawn would have been on site herself to take measurements ensuring that all would come together perfectly. The contours of my house are somewhat more irregular and complex than a typical stick built house. In addition, since the railing met an existing half wall on the second story loft, the fit needed to be precise and crisp. Shawn demonstrated over and over her ability to successfully work from a distance not only with me, but others involved in the project. My builder conveyed the measurements she needed so that when all came together, it would go without a hitch. So far, two railings are installed and they have as close to a perfect fit as possible. The third railing is poised for installation shortly and will be the piece de resistance. Shawn finished her part of the project right on time and with integrity. She's a true professional. Her work is both subtle and outstanding. It speaks for itself if you look at her site. In closing I can say, Shawn was from start to end a pleasure to work with.”
