“Alessandra supported us with our kitchen renovation. She spent with us half day at Magnet to design our kitchen, select the materials and the colours. She was very careful and detailed oriented to make sure the kitchen we were getting was exactly what we needed/wished for. Important to note that Alessandra is open find solution for what you need/wish for (different from other architects who wants to put their mark and leave their “stamp” in their designs). She did delivered not a kitchen, but what we called a master piece of art - her careful selection of colour and materials + solutions to corners and panels at the top/at the bottom to hide electrics paid off having her in that work. Everyone who comes to our house or lastly who sees our kitchen from Zoom/Skype or Team spots how beautiful it is (not only beautiful, but for us who uses the kitchen it is entirely functional, easy to clean and all sorted). Thank you Alessandra - you made us very happy and ensured lockdown could be easily managed with our new lovely and super functional (easy to clean) kitchen! Before Alessandra - red kitchen. After Alessandra - the modern, atemporal grey/blue kitchen (please see pictures).”

“Model Projects were a delight, from the initial brief with James who immediately took my requirements and turned them into a fantastic design - spot on first time with no amendments necessary. Kathryn then took over on a day to day basis as project manager and I cannot praise her highly enough. “I retained Carta Nova to work on my apartment in the US. I worked with Eva to come up with a few ideas and she expertly brought everything together--color scheme, interior architecture as well as the few minor structural changes that I wanted to do. I loved the result and it helped substantially when renting out the apartment. Eva listened to my ideas, understood what I wanted and helped to crystallize those notions into ideas... and then made the ideas become reality. It made living in my apartment so much more pleasurable and improved my bottom line when I decided to rent it out. I highly recommend working with Carta Nova.”

“VC Design was recommended to me and I would do the same without hesitation. We contacted Veronica about drawing up plans for our ground floor extension and although conceptually we had a clear idea of what we wanted to she was invaluable in advising us how to best use the space and our options within the parameters of planning. She also contacted previous clients and arranged for us to see the work they had done, this allowed us to see first hand some of the ideas we had discussed. Veronica submitted the planning application and we have now received our approval - a job very well done.”

“We employed Christine Peever to provide us with architectural services to renovate a 4 storey property dating back to 1912. The property was in a very poor state and we had no experience of such a project. Christine was an excellent listener to our needs and I felt she understood our strengths and weaknesses as her clients and adapted herself to us both as individuals to create our vision. Her note taking was faultless and she carried out all changes with exactness and efficiency, of which there were many! We also have to thank her for her endless patience during the decision making processes. She pushed us hard to make as many decisions as possible before going out to tender and this has inevitably assisted us with keeping our budget under control. We look forward to welcoming her back to the property shortly so that she can see what she helped us to create.”

建築家とは、建築物（住宅）やその周りの空間（外構）を、法律を遵守した形で設計する専門家です。建築物の外観、内部構造、機能性、美学を考慮し、クライアントの要望を実現します。また、実際に工事がはじまると、図面どおりに建築されているかなど、施工の監督管理も行います。
建築士は国家資格で、建築士試験に合格して登録した人が名乗ることができます。一級建築士、二級建築士、木造建築士の3種類があります。一方、建築家は特に資格はなく、「建築や設計に携わっている人」として自称できます。
建築家の料金はプロジェクトの規模や複雑さによって異なります。通常、建設予算の一定の割合（通常は10〜20％）が建築家の料金として考えられます。
プロジェクトの規模や複雑さにより異なりますが、一般的には数週間から数ヶ月かかります。複雑なプロジェクトはさらに時間がかかることがあります。
設計変更は可能ですが、タイミングや変更の内容によって追加料金が発生することがあります。変更が計画初期に行われることが理想的です。

「建築家」と「建築士」は別の意味として区別されることが多いようです。では、その違いは何でしょう？
