“I was lucky enough to meet Richard Woods when he was the Chartered Surveyor appointed by my home insurers to oversee the £300,000 + rebuilding of Watermeadow Farm - my Grade II listed Medieval Hall House following a fire in 1998.. I was immediately impressed by his pragmatic, expert and commonsense approach and confident enough of his professionalism to instruct him jointly with insurers. Any major project on a listed building is fraught with potential issues but Richard dealt effortlessly with not only the local conservation officers but English Heritage calmly anticipating and resolving issues to produce a beautiful home - insulated pretty much to the standards of the time with considerable internal modifications that made it an easier and far better place to live. The end result of the rebuild and its management throughout was faultless. With WSW there is always a sense of "team" in any project they are easy to work with and expert across all the building and design disciplines. I continue to work with them as my projects evolve.”

“dwell design began working for us on the extension and refurbishment of our new home after the plan drawing company we had initially been recommended totally let us down. By comparison Anthony and the team were thorough, interested, passionate and knowledgeable with much appreciated attention to detail. I felt that Anthony took the time to understand what it was that we were looking for in our home and tailored the plans to suit what we really needed, coming up with a design that worked for us. Their team were always available for advice or comment and we are 100% pleased with the final design. The finished product is a home we are proud of and which uniquely blends with the mature conservation area it sits within, yet, incorporates contemporary features that are both subtle and stunning. Visitors and public repeatedly comment on its appeal and transformation. “Angus helped us develop plans to convert our attic in our 1930's house into two additional bedrooms and a bathroom, in addition to redesigning the first floor layout. Through thoughtful design and a good understanding of our requirements he developed a number of options for us. Through close communication and a practical design application the end result is a 1930's house with fresh and modern feel to the first and second floors. I would thoroughly recommend Angus & Fiftypointeight Architecture and indeed hope to be able to use him again soon, when we tackle to the kitchen...”
