“We worked with Alexandra for a rebuild of our home, upgrading it from a 3bd/1.5 bath to a 4bd/3.5bath while adding a second floor and changing the layout of the house dramatically. We chose Alexandra based on two critical expectations: that she would be good to work with (after all, you spend countless hours with your architect on a very expensive project), and that she would share our philosophy regarding the importance of combining form and function in house design. We were very lucky to have chosen her. Alexandra indeed spent countless hours with us. She paid careful attention to our wishes and needs. She worked patiently through every detail of the house, helping us maximize not only our living space but also important functional aspects of the house. From beautifully located and proportioned stairs to storage for kids backpacks under an entryway bench and built-in cabinets to roof segments and their slopes, everything was thoughtful, detailed, and practical. Alexandra also showed great professional and personal skill in navigating the permitting process, developing a good relationship with the city’s planning department that allowed us to enjoy all the benefits of the zoning code. “Bahi and Mariela are truly a unique find and I thank my lucky stars everyday that we discovered them for our home remodel. We added about 1000 sq ft to our 1500 sq ft home, and took down all but the foundation and studs of the initial footprint. Not only did Bahi and Mariela fully integrate the new construction into a seamless floor plan, but every piece of it is so incredibly unique and stunning. They completely designed a new roof that creatively resolves the 8 foot plates from the initial walls to the 9 foot plates of the new construction, and you would never know it as all you see is a gorgeous elevation that is absolutely stunning. I am absolutely in love with the outside of the house. And then the inside...WOW! Our new common space is an open concept with beautiful architectural accents and high ceilings. We wanted open concept, but we also wanted each space to be defined in some way so they designed the most beautiful details in the ceilings above the spaces including vaulted, tray, and crown molding accented elements. The end result is that when people walk in, they often tell us it's one of the best homes they have ever seen. Several have told us it is their dream home and would love to build the same design somewhere. We owe that to Bahi and Mariela for working so diligently to add just the right touches that would make our home beautiful. I feel like I am living in a gem that nobody else could have dreamed up but them. And not only is our house extraordinary, but Bahi and Mariela were the nicest people to work with the whole project. I am so glad we hired them and now have a beautiful home to call ours for years to come. Thank you 360 design studio!!!!”
