“I'm a general contractor and had the pleasure of building an 800 sq. ft. home designed by Mo Whiteside and Kate Haley. I say pleasure because rarely do I find architects who put as much attention on detail as Mo and Kate do. The house is beautiful--well proportioned, quality finishes, and it incorporates advanced concepts in building science, which few architects remain current on. When questions arose around detailing (and they always do), Mo and Kate responded quickly so construction could continue without delay. In short, they have a great sense of design, knowledge of construction, and are easy to work with.”

“We wanted a small, affordable house on The Sea Ranch coast. We had seen Obie's designs and loved them. We at first felt that what we were hoping to build would be too small and our budget too limited for Obie to be willing to take us on as clients. Wrong. He seemed honestly excited about designing a special home on a small budget. Obie talked to us about what was important to us in our home. He studied our previous home and asked pertinent questions. He listened and then creatively put all of our wants into a home filled with creative touches that make it small, modest in cost, and special. We love the end result!”

“We bought a house that was painted with "safe" interior colors (basically off whites) and had a dull feeling to it. My wife is a tapestry weaver who has excellent color sense but is not used to the interior design applications. Having worked with Robert on other design projects in the commercial realm, I asked him to meet with us and help us find a color solution that would integrate with our existing furniture and some physical modifications we wanted to add to the living area. He quickly understood our frustration and was able to provide advice not only on a color scheme but also had excellent suggestions for additions to our fireplace area wall. Roberts suggested using a highly polished black Corian to cover the mantel and side cabinets which contrasted nicely with the white mantle and cabinets. With the brick colored walls and the enhancement of the fireplace area, this set the room off strikingly. We highly recommend Robert and found him very create, easy to work with and quick to solve problems.”
