“It's my pleasure to inform Houzz and its body of consumers of the great service I received from Laney LA. Having been a developer for 2 decades, this wasn't my first rodeo, per se, but I did want to hit this project out of the park so I decided to use a designer to facilitate my renovation of a Spanish themed single family home in Los Angeles. After meeting with 3 designers, all of whom had impressive resumes, we decided on working with Laney LA. In this field of business, with something as subjective as design, you never know how well your vision will be maintained. Now, being 95% underway and my contract with Laney completely fulfilled, I'm more than pleased with the service I received and the implementation of our collective choices. For me, the true gauge of customer service isn't how I'm treated at the beginning of a job but how I'm treated at the end of a job; when all payments have been made and the project is still going. I'm so impressed with Laney's bedside manner; their above and beyond approach to customer service. “Our experience designing our home with Michael and his team was super... I'm an artist, a painter and my wife is very creative. We're both social -lots of get togethers. We had a duplex in a great location by the beach and wanted to maximize our location and opportunity. I wanted an art studio on the first floor with great lighting and indoor outdoor atmosphere, Michael gave me that and much more. On the second floor we wanted our bedrooms and an open library area to display our travel treasures and art from around the world. The third floor has an ocean view in every direction. We hoped to maximize this with one great room. Michael did this in a beautiful way. We have a grand area to entertain as well as plenty of wall space to display our art. My wife and I could not be happier with our comfy, contemporary "home by the beach." We give Michael Lee and his team our highest recommendation!”

“Miles and Keith are an outstanding team. They have listened closely to our ideas and then make it happen in the house plans. I wanted "timeless" and the plans are completely unique. They did thorough research of our chosen style and have introduced delightful design elements. The house is under construction at this time. Whenever we have any design/structure concerns/changes, they respond to us quickly....as if we are their only clients. They have been working well with our Gen Cont and her subcontractors. “I had a great time with John at Lapis Design Partners. He worked with me from the very first meeting to the final walk through process of my house located at Kahala neighborhood in Honolulu. He spent a great deal of his time into this project since I was not in full time residence during the process. We communicate over email, phone conversation and fax very intensively. He and his partner, Susan as a professional long-time interior designer always respected my views and wishes toward this dream house. I enjoyed the relationship with John during the process and appreciated very much for his professionalism as an architect and his responsiveness to the job. The results came much more than my expectations. We received one of AIA Honolulu awards. Most importantly, my time during the process was enjoyable ! Highly recommended.”
