“Ukalovic Design is an architectural drafting service and is owned and operated by Jay Ukalovic. We were referred to Jay by a prominent building company in Newcastle last year. Jay earned the right to do our design work after a basic tender process where we received proposals from 3 designers/draftsman. What struck us immediately was Jay's manner and disposition. He handled his first meeting with professionalism and care and demonstrated a keen willingness to listen carefully to what we wanted out of our design. The journey we have been on together is now at DA stage and we could not be happier. Jay has quickly worked through all variations and iterations of what we needed to see on paper so that we could consider all options. The quality of his work is outstanding and he has a wonderful way of making us feel like we are his number one client. “Brent from Eight Six Design was the architect that created our fantastic new house. Its a single story 4 bedroom, cladded, colour bond roof with above ground concrete pool, wide entrance hall and lots of deck He did a wonderfull job and was always eager to help with any changes and worked well with the all the trades as required. His design has had many people asking us about him and we have referred new cutomers already. We had very little trouble with a build that had to be 1.5 meters off ground level and could have been very difficult, Brents ability to see potential faults and deal with council and certifiers made our project run like a well oiled machine. I can't thank him enough and would reccomend Eight Six Design very highly.”

“We engaged Margaret Skilbeck to help us with a major renovation and extension of our family home in Warrawee. Architelle was recommended by a local builder who gave us the names of a few architects that work in the Area. He told me Margeret Skilbeck was conversant with Kuringai council regulations and her turnaround time in submitting work was also good. We were very happy with the design and final result. One of the best things we did was engage Margeret to supervise the building project which included weekly site meetings. it took away a lot of the stress involved in building work. She gave us very good advise along the way and helped in choosing materials and fittings. She was professional, capable, efficient and very pleasant and we have no hesitation in recommending Her. She was able to work well with the builders & coordinate the other professionals. Her fees were reasonable and good value.”

You often hear dreadful stories about the relationship between builders and clients. Fortunately every experience we have had has been fantastic, which is probably why we have used their services more than once. Tony and Deb are incredibly professional in their approach to every part of the build. “In two words...Absolutely Brilliant! Luke's architectural abilities and holistic approach combine sustainable, practical concepts that look AMAZING. He is highly organised, trendy, ensures he fully comprehends the client's brief and produces designs that have an edge...a real Wow factor. We had a sloping block of land with a long list of requirements (budget, time, eco friendly, low maintenance, compliance to Vastu i.e an ancient Indian construction science considered by many as the precursor to Feng Shui, and many more). We also had some covenants and restrictions on the land. Luke delivered on all fronts by striking a beautiful balance of all elements. He also had a great network of consultants required for the plethora of reports needed for the Council Development Application and a huge help to get these organised. The best decision we've made. You can't go wrong with LVJ.”

建築家の料金はプロジェクトの規模や複雑さによって異なります。通常、建設予算の一定の割合（通常は10〜20％）が建築家の料金として考えられます。
プロジェクトの規模や複雑さにより異なりますが、一般的には数週間から数ヶ月かかります。複雑なプロジェクトはさらに時間がかかることがあります。

「建築家」と「建築士」は別の意味として区別されることが多いようです。では、その違いは何でしょう？

建築士は、一級建築士、二級建築士および木造建築士に分類されます。これらは国土交通省が制定した国家資格の名称で、各資格により設計・監理できる建物の規模や種類が異なります。試験に受かった人に与えられる資格であるため、例えば工務店やハウスメーカーに勤務する人、さらには建築家として活躍する人の中にも、建築士の資格を有する人は存在します。
