First came across their work - the Eco Dorm on the Warren Wilson College Campus in Swanannoa, North Carolina. The Eco Dorm is an amazing place - not only earth friendly, solar powered, and sustainable, but it is designed with promoting student life in mind. It is a work of art! I plan to hire them for my next residence which I hope will be soon!!!”

He had excellent suggestions and was forthright in telling us which of our ideas would not work well----and suggesting alternatives that did work well. He was helpful in commenting on different building materials that would be best for our application. The "Approximate Project Cost" in this review is the construction cost for this house; the rates from Custom Plan Services for designing the house were very reasonable.”

“Brickstack served as the architect for a cantilevered screen porch addition to our post and beam mountain house. The job required matching the existing post and beam structural components and design elements while providing a new porch that projected into the forest with only two inset foundation columns. Scott Huebner handled the design and the construction supervision. He was particularly skilled in meshing the new porch into the existing porch so that the new work appears to have been constructed at the same time as the existing structure. Scott also perceptively advised us to reverse our planned use of the two porches, placing the living area in the new porch addition and the outdoor dining area in the original porch.”

“Last year, we hired Mark Sinsky to design our dream home in Asheville, NC, while we are living in Houston, TX. Mark was very thoughtful about our desires and wishes for our home, while also being respectful of the property we had chosen and how to make the best use of all our spectacular views. We got so much more than architectural drawings and specifications. We appreciate all of the creativity, thought, and heart that he put into the design of our home. It's EXACTLY why we wanted him on our team, especially since we were hundreds of miles away from the construction which began last year. Mark made many visits to our home and kept us completely up to date on any issues that needed adjustments and worked closely with our builder. Mark has created a real masterpiece , that we will enjoy throughout our retirement. (I resubmitting this because the project price was incorrect). Houzz only gives the option to show the project is over 100k, but you can see from the pictures, the upscale beautiful homes that Mark specifically creates for each individual home, while staying within any budget restraints requested by his clients. As the homeowners, we appreciated his detailed drawings that allowed us to determine where best to use our funds. It was a very pleasant experience working with Mark, and would definitely highly recommend AND use him again in the future!”
