Bathroom Renovation We first came across Yuriy and Universal House Improvement on HomeStars website while preparing for an upcoming bathroom renovation. While doing our homework by browsing through the pictures of Yuriy’s finished projects, we’ve noticed attention to details, creativity and a very high level of craftsmanship. Fantastic reviews from the homeowners Yuriy completed projects in the past further solidified our decision to approach him. After a couple of meetings and calls, we decided to proceed with Yuriy and his crew. His overall approach and the results did not disappoint! While preparing for a reno, Yuri walked us through the project plan, associated timelines and costs. After reviewing our ‘must be nice to have’ ideas, he pointed out some pros and cons and also offered his suggestions. To be quite honest, we went with the majority of Yuriy’s suggestions as they were in balance with the dimensions of the bathroom area we were limited to and within our budget. Our ‘headache’ was just picking up the materials and selecting colors and Yuriy was very professional in offering his contacts as well. During renovations, Yuriy and his crew were always on time, efficient, neat, extremely professional and approachable for any impromptu questions we had. If any unexpected challenges (uneven surfaces, pipes, etc.), Yuriy was always presenting multiple options available and offering his solutions. Also important to mention, Yuri was (and still is) ALWAYS available for a quick call or a sit-down. When finished, Yuriy personally inspected the final product and ensured everything was in place and functioned properly. In summary: PROs: Cost, Timelines, Professionalism, Skills, Craftsmanship CONs: None We are very happy with how our outdated bathroom got transformed into a mini spa and will be hiring Yuriy to do further renovations in our place. We are already recommending Yuriy to our friends and colleagues.

We had Universal Home Improvement renovate our laundry room. The original layout in the room was inefficient and felt crowded. A laundry tub was placed between the washer and dryer in an L-shaped layout, causing difficulty to access the sink. We met with Yuriy to discuss some ideas and options. Yuriy came up with a creative solution that allowed us to save some money by re-using our existing washer and dryer. Since our appliances were not stackable, he proposed to build a structure that would support the dryer above the washer. Yuriy also came up with an excellent solution for ventilation of the dryer, without losing any storage or floor space. We are very happy with the end result and would recommend Universal Home Improvement. This is the second time we have hired Universal Home Improvement. Two years ago, we had Yuriy renovate our bathrooms and they still look newly renovated

We had used Yurli to work on converting part of our laundry room into a brand new shower. That was a year ago. We were so pleased with the finished result and the very competitive price, that we did not hesitate to employ him again to update our bathroom. I never usually make recommendations, but we recommended him to a friend of ours. That friend recommended him in turn to a friend of his, and the feedback was that that friend was delighted with the job Yurli did. At this time we do not need any further work done, but if we did we would be calling Yurli. He is professional, dependable and reasonably priced. We did have a minor adjustment that needed to be made to our shower door, and Yurli returned within a day to make the adjustment - I think such follow-up support is essential when employing someone. Thanks Yurli, you were great.

We have used Universal 3x for bathroom renovations, the last being our largest a master bath complete remove and rebuild. Yurie has been consistently excellent in all 3 cases. Sticks to his quotes, comes exactly when he says and finishes on time. He's preformed at the same professional level on all 3 jobs. I would not look for another contractor and any friends or Nieghbours that have taken me up on the reference are equally satisfied.Full points for this guy.

Ensuite Bathroom Reno The last room in our home that needed to updated (after 20+ years) was our master bedroom ensuite. It had originally been carpeted, had a tiny shower, empty bulkheads etc. This had to change. We found Yuriy and Universal House Improvement on HomeStars. After a number of quotes, we took on Yuriy, he was professional, provided good ideas and was flexible. We set a date to start. Yuriy gave us good contacts to shop for tiles, paint, fixtures etc. We purchased our stuff and Yuriy and Milan went to work. They were polite, timely, clean and caused as little disruption to our home as anyone could have. All in all, Yuriy removed our old 72" vanity and installed a new one, with sinks, tap, mirror etc. Installed pot lights and painted the whole room. He removed the carpet (!) and installed our floor tile. Removed our old tub and shower, moved the toilet from one side of the room to the other, removed the bulkhead and installed a beautiful ceramic shower (approx. 25 sq ft) with a window, rain head fixtures, a large niche and arranged for a glass wall/door into the bathroom. Everything is just beautiful, we are thrilled with our new bathroom. Yuriy and Milan have a terrific worth ethic and are highly skilled. Everything was done to perfection (see the attached pictures). Our only issue now is that the most beautiful room in our house is a bathroom!! My wife and I are happily making referrals to Yuriy for our friends, who get the tour of our new ensuite. Well priced, beautifully done and all at the quoted price. I will happily endorse Yuriy to one and all.

Yuriy & his crew were very pleasant to deal with & extremely professional in executing the works to finish our basement . Yuriy even went beyond his scope of works to accommodate my requirements at no extra cost . I have recommended him to my friends for their home improvement projects .

We recently hired Universal House improvement in September to renovate our kitchen, laundry room and updating our fireplace. He was a very pleasant, professional and nice person to have in our home. He was always punctual, efficient and worked quickly to complete our project. He delivered on his promises, finished in a timely manner and leaving everything neat and tidy when he left every day.
