Wilson Home Restoration

Zero Stars. Hired Wilson Home Restoration to remodel our fireplace. The remodel included a teardown, resurface with ledger stone & a new mantle. From the start, it was clear that Mark Todd, project manager, was incompetent. He lacked the ability to effectively communicate necessary information in a timely manner, created a poorly executed end product and to top it off he didn’t even clean-up after himself. Leaving a mess of stone ledger shards, scrap, etc from my living room to my garage. The box mantle made looks out of proportion to the fireplace, is VERY poorly painted, scratched and the wood is dented. It looks like its been kicked around in the back of a work van for a few weeks. Billie, office manager terrible customer service. She was rude and defensive when we called to complain about Mark’s poor project flow & lack of work ethic (coming and going, working for a few hours at a time, difficult to pin him down to a proper work schedule). Wilson Home Restoration was also unable to problem-solve through-out the project. We NEVER received a return call, email or text from the owner Josh Wilson, let alone have him volunteer to come-out to take a look at the problem. We are hard-working people who are now eager to share this negative experience with others. Like the prior post, we've never written a review, but we don't want others to share in this experience. Now we have to find someone to fix it, costing us more money and it makes us sick.

If I could give zero stars I would! Hired Wilson to do a water restoration project. Not only was our project manager Mark Todd terrible from a project flow and timeline standpoint, but the quality of work was way below standards. I held back just under $4k as there were things that had not been finished. Billie at Wilson then sent the email that they would take action if I didn't pay. I told them I will pay $2k of it, but what is my protection that it is going to get done? Josh Wilson came out to see what it looked like and apologized to my wife. Well now it looks like it will never get done. The hardwoods are wrecked, the tile job in the bathroom is now cracked and separated, the toilet install has leaked, the basement paint is below par the cabinets and baseboards are ruined. The only thing they were diligent about was getting their sign out of my yard during the project when I became unhappy with the process and they knew I was talking to neighbors about my experience. I have never written a negative review on anyone before about anything, but I don't want people to experience what my family has.

After a recent remodeling of my bathroom which exceeded my expectations i decided to repaint my kitchen along with changing out the lighting and replacing the complete flooring. The living room was without proper lighting so a ceiling fan was installed with LED lights to brighten up all areas requiring lighting. The workers were very detail oriented and have a lot of experience in their work field. My wife and i are so pleased at the final results that we will choose Wilson Home Restoration for all our future home projects.

Wilson Home Restoration is a fantastic company to work with. I am the president of a condo association and have had numerous problems with the deck posts. They were able to help with the posts and also were able to match the deck stain that had been applied 3 years earlier. All the guys and gals are friendly and are glad to help you. I had an emergency on a deck post recently and they were there the next day to fix it. Great company. Do not hesitate to work with them.

I have been working with Josh and his team since 2015. They are excellent at what they do. I'm never disappointed with the outcome, it always surpasses my expectations. They are able to take my vision and make it a reality. Absolutely love working with their entire team and their subcontractors. I highly recommend then to my clients.

I have used Wilson restoration twice in the last year. First experience was to update my old house to get it ready to list on the market for sale. Sold it to the first person that walked in the door. Second was to totally renovate the new home I purchased and the craftsmanship is by far the best in the business. Josh and team were always keeping me updated and informed on the progress. Best endorsement I can make is this..... I did not even consider another company when we renovated our new home and they are the only call we will ever make for renovation needs.

they were great. All the way from quoting to execution. Remodeling is not easy or enjoyable to live in and work on, but they made the process much easier. They wee always on time and stayed on budget. I would recommend them to anyone.

I would definitely hire this company again! Josh, Billie and everyone we worked with at Wilson Home Restoration was professional and easy to do business with. We appreciate that they helped us create our vision and led us through the process to update our fireplace (added rustic wood mantel, installed stone veneer and sconces). We trust Josh and his crew and recommend them to anyone with a small to large project.
