Mrs. Stovall was such a delight to help get settled into a new place. One wall of glass desperately needed sheers to minimize the full sun glare and as a special unique touch I did a low profile carved frame for the valance trim. A few new lamps, pillows, custom framed family photos and a dining room rug gave her place fresh warmth.

Lovely event planned and hosted for our Atlanta client while our fashion company was visiting from NYC. Jan took care of every detail from managing the invites and guest list to hor d'ourves, seasonal dinner menu, custom cocktails and amazing blue and white table setting. We will definitely call her again for our next event or dinner party!

It was a sheer delight to organize the dinner party for this high profile Fashion Atelier when in Atlanta to promote an exclusive Trunk Show. The goal was to create a colorful and comfy gathering that was inviting, delectable and relaxing for a very select Clientele. A touch of blue & white with rich gold was the perfect elegant touch to the table settings. I excitedly look forward to their next visit. Such a great Client - thank you for the opportunity to be so creatively all-encompassing!

I credit Jan Willadsen with saving my life by way of organizing my home of 41 years which had been ignored for about 13 years while I was taking care of a terminally ill family member and another who is an invalid. She came in and got to work immediately transforming my out of control house and making me a sane person once again --- I now feel there is hope for the future!!! I worried about the cost but it was worth EVERY penny . Jan doesn't waist a second and I can't recommend her highly enough --- you'll be glad you did too.

Elizabeth had reached a point where the clutter was simply just too overwhelming to face, very normal and common for those who have busy lives. It can be incredibly frustrating and upsetting to know where to even begin once piles have reached a certain level. By grouping like things, identifying storage areas and a basic all around editing of items, the bedroom + 3 other rooms were brought under control within only a couple of days of concentrated effort. She can now be worry-free and enjoy the new positive energy. It was more than a pleasure to come to her rescue!

I had the pleasure of working with Willadsen Design when I moved to NYC. Due to the minimal storage space in my apartment and the necessity to utilize every square inch, I needed someone to help me make the most out of the space. Jan designed custom seating areas that also functioned as storage in my living room, as well as a custom shelving and cupboard unit made to fit. She was able to make the space look bigger and give me the necessary storage without compromising the decorative feel of my apartment. We worked together to select furniture and artwork that opened up the space and meshed well with the custom units she designed. She also created window treatments for the living room and bedroom which totally transformed the rooms. In addition, she designed custom closets for my bedroom and hall closets to also maximize the space. Jan really took the time to understand what I needed and aesthetically wanted and was able to create and install everything for a very worthwhile price and great timing!

Such a special project where all the full-function criteria had to be factored into the aesthetic feel to very, very limited living space. Had to just say hello to the small confines of residential NYC and tackle it head on! But we were up for the challenge and able to effectively even create customized storage while respectful of a budget. Always an interesting design challenge - but careful attention to detail and the fun participation of my Client with her eclectic style made it all such an enjoyable success!

I had a terrific experience working with Willadsen Design -- outstanding client attention, creativity and execution. I went to Willadsen for help refreshing my outdoor entertaining area without the cost of a full re-design. One of my favorite outcomes is my new Jandelier, the sparkling non-wired chandelier shown in the picture here. Seriously, how fun is this? A chandelier redesigned with delicate glass teacups holding tea lights and sitting atop silver dessert molds. This creative twist on an old classic, my Jandelier is one of only a limited number handmade by Willadsen Design’s owner and principal Jan Willadsen. I hang it over my patio table for dinners or move it around the space when I want a change. I’m delighted with my Jandelier and with all of the work Willadsen Design did for me. I highly recommend the firm for your next home design project.
