During our last meeting with the homeowner it was agreed upon that second to final draw plus all reimbursements would be paid because most of work had been completed and was satisfactory to the client. The monies was paid in draws ( which protects the client from contractors that run off after being paid) as the work was completed and this is why all of the monies was paid with exception to $1,500 dollars + material reimbursements. The remaining work was the following:
1. tiling around the jacuzzi (30sqft)
2. hanging a 48 inch cabinet.
The entire scope of work has been completed; except for remaining items that can completed with the monies that the homeowner still has retained. In addition to the $1,500 that the client is still holding we are also owed monies for reimbursements for materials that we purchased on behalf of the owner. The homeowner is demanding that we finish the work before paying us back the reimbursement. This violated what was agreed upon; which was that all monies owed for materials would be paid to HCFH except for the $1,500 held by the client. For this reason only is why the project has come to a complete stop. The homeowner is still holding $1,500 + $$$$ material reimbursement money.
We appreciate all of our clients and their opinions of our work whether positive and negative which helps us to continuously improve one client at a time. However for anyone that has never worked with us and is relying on reviews to form an opinion of trustworthiness by HCFH. It is imperative to have all of the facts presented in order to form the proper opinion.
