We own a culturally and historically significant building in Sweet Auburn, birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement in Atlanta, GA. The 1910 former book warehouse is stunning and was incredibly dated when we bought it. We looked to Stouse to help bring out the best qualities of the space and place while allowing the building to remain true to itself and its history. Stouse is much more than an award-winning design firm, it is a thoughtful team of professionals who love their work and are committed to the success of others. The super talents they bring to the table do include exceptional design, and they also go way beyond. I was a touch concerned that the out-of-state distance would be a factor in a final product. With a few site visits and regular calls, the collaboration went well and quite smoothly. Since this is a culturally-based workspace that leases space to other companies it is imperative that the work goes beyond our own pride and joy as the developer. What makes me happy are the compliments I hear others getting every week, and the esteem that Stouse's design has helped infuse into the lives of our customers and clients. I had high expectations to begin with, and those were met. Exceeding has been that over the years Stouse routinely asks about the project – now completed 4 years ago – and does so with genuine care and interest. One unexpected benefit was the team's willingness to share the spotlight with other design professionals that were a part of the project. Stouse is inclusive and welcoming as a firm, and inherently lifts up others along the way, it's a wonderful quality. Our project won multiple awards on both local and regional levels and design 100% played a major part in making those honors a reality. Many times, developers are unwilling to share contacts and methods that comprise their projects. Anyone who asks, and even those who don't, always hear about the work Stouse successfully and creatively provided to our firm and to our project. We are extremely happy with the work, the camaraderie, and the final product. In short, we love them, hire them.
