In 2019, Oakford Home Furnishings began as a small, custom furniture workshop. Today, we are proud to have found our niche crafting custom shelving for residential and commercial projects. We use domestic and exotic woods obtained responsibly from local lumber suppliers whenever possible, and partner with One Tree Planted, so that each shelf sold plants a tree in an area of the world in need. While many of our most popular pre-configured product options are available for direct order on our site, we also encourage you to contact us directly to discuss your project needs. Shelving is rarely one size fits all!

Michael Stepnowski

I contracted with Oakford to fabricate and install custom made cd cases to match existing cases that I had. Sam was responsive and thorough from the initial meeting, measuring, sampling of color matches, fabrication and installation. The cases were an exact match of those that I had. I could not be more pleased with the result. Sam is a true craftsman.

What an amazing craftsman. I got a custom desk made. Sam worked with me to customize every aspect of the desk from custom hight, length, beveled front edge, custom headset holder and specifically the kind of different woods and finish that I wanted. He was in communication the whole time and worked hand in hand with me to deliver exactly what I wanted. I could be happier. I even got progress pictures as the desk started coming together. It was a great experience working with Sam. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Sam custom made a gorgeous wooden mantel for our full stone wall fireplace. We recently renovated the entire house, including moving our TV onto the fireplace wall. Sam was able to take multiple images my wife found on the internet and design and build a mantel meeting all her design needs. Additionally, he was able to build the mantel such that we could hide all the electronics wiring in the mantel so that they are totally invisible. It looks fabulous. Sam was great to deal with.

Sam made wood flowers to decorate a home with cats who like to destroy plants. Even though I didn't know what I wanted in the beginning, we communicated frequently throughout the project, and I ended up with something even more beautiful than I imagined going into it. Good communicator, dedicated to getting it right, and not afraid to learn and try new things.

I love my new raised garden beds!!! I initially had just an idea of what I wanted to optimize growing space in my tiny backyard. I gave a rough concept overview to Sam and he immediately came back with great ideas that included computer-animated diagrams to help me visualize. Once the decision was made, Sam was flexible in working around my difficult schedule to get the work done when it was convenient for me. The finished product is better than I expected and perfectly suits my needs. I highly recommend consulting with Sam before getting into any wood-working project.
