CREATIVE DESIGN MEETS MASTER CRAFTSMANSHIP. Jason Scott Co provides high-quality designing and building services for custom cabinets, built-ins, staircases, furniture, and fine finish carpentry. My Journey: I began at the age of 17 with an interest in architecture and design. After having my design chosen for a local new home, I was offered the opportunity to help build my own design. This led me to a love of building and started me on this journey. After approximately 10 years in Michigan working in the carpentry trade, and at the start of Michigan's housing downturn, I found my skills were desperately needed elsewhere and I relocated my family to Sarasota, Florida. I was fortunate to be hired by a finish carpenter in southwest Florida who expanded upon my skill set and gave me a profound interest in the area of fine finish carpentry. The detailed woodworking and cabinetry building and installation became my specialty. My skills progressed to a mastery of professional finishes which included antiquing, layering glazes, and distressing. Although I was enjoying the challenge and tremendous value in my craft, I longed to be close to family and return to Michigan. After prayer and research, I found, once again, there was a shift and opportunity to share with southwest Michigan, my love of carpentry and creative design. This has been a blessing to me and my family and I am amazed at how gracious of an opportunity it is to serve the community I have always referred to as "Home".
