We recently enjoyed working with Mike from Westcoast Hardscape, who helped transform our small barren backyard into a beautiful garden. Our project included installing new pavement, a retaining wall, all new sod, lights, new fence gate, plant trees and sprinkler systems. We knew Mike was the right choice for our project from the initial consultation because he is friendly and the price is competitive. Throughout the project, Mike was always quick to respond and coordinate work in a timely fashion. Working with Mike was a breeze, even with several change orders along the way. He was always cooperative, understanding, and proactive in finding solutions to meet our vision. We are very happy with the completed work delivered by Mike and his team. Mike's great communication and flexibility made it easy to work with him. We highly recommend Westcoast Hardscape to anyone seeking hardscaping services.

Westcoast Hardscape did an amazing job turning our backyard into a modern, usable space to enjoy in the summer and colder Bay Area days. We worked closely with Mike Lopez the owner to make our vision come to life. He listened to all our requests, maintained great communication throughout the project, gave us different options for materials, savings and was very accommodating. His team was punctual, friendly, fast and efficient. Our yard is now the hangout spot for our neighbors and friends. We have a great space for us to enjoy outdoor meals, a safe space where our son can play, our dogs can run around in and we can enjoy a drink and cozy up by the fire pit. Overall it was a great experience working with the Westcoast Hardscape team from the planing to execution. We'll definitely be working with them in the future as we expand our backyard plans and upgrade the front yard.

I used westcoast hardscape to remove my old concrete patio and install pavers. Mike from westcoast was really easy to work with, and the crew did a great job. They were able to repair parts of the foundation that was only revealed after they removed the old concrete. I originally thought I need a French drain, but they were able to save me money by grading the patio away from the house. They did the work quickly and were friendly. I’m really happy with the results! I will use Westcoast again when I’m ready to do other parts of my yard.

We are very happy that we found Mike from Westcoast Hardscape. His foreman, Jose, and his crew turned our front yard into a place where we can truly enjoy. I’m very happy with how everything turned out. They were pleasant to work with and communicated very well when we had questions or concerns. We will be calling them again to come back to do our backyard!

I recently had Mike do a project in our Oakland backyard with artificial grass, a small retaining wall and a couple of paver sections. We asked for the estimate in 4 pieces, got a prompt and reasonable quote, and decided to go forward with everything that we had been considering. The work got done in a timely manner given how busy they clearly are, and the quality of the work appears to be very good. In a couple of instances we had to make stylistic judgement calls and Mike talked us through our options via text and in person and we are now very happy with our choices and love our new backyard. Would recommended to anyone and will use again if any more landscaping work comes up for us.

Mike Lopez and Westcoast Hardscape team helped to totally transform our front and side yard! They built a retaining wall, walkway and deck, also installed a new driveway. Throughout the process we truly appreciated Mike for his responsiveness and willingness in helping us to find best solutions, materials and prices. His recommended wall and ground lighting and other smaller details really added to the overall appeal of the finished project. We received many compliments from others in the neighborhood and for a while were referred to as "the folks from that house with the great new front yard" .

We had an amazing experience working with Mike and the Westcoast Hardscape team. From the get-go Mike was responsive, friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. We already had a design planned, but he really brought it to life and gave valuable insight into materials, colors, and logistics. He also took care of sourcing and recommending finishing touches, like wall and ground lighting, that we were super happy with. As busy as he is, he took time to stop by often to check in, which was really appreciated. He was also really considerate of our schedule and timing needs. Our backyard is so functional and attractive now and we'd recommend Mike and the team to anyone!

We wanted to redo our backyard to make it more functional. At the time, we knew very little about the process, the materials, and the labor needed to bring our vision to life. We received proposals from several contractors and eventually decided to go ahead with Mike Lopez. It was a good decision as he turned out to be patient, responsive, and skilled in remodeling work. He helped us select the pavers, the synthetic turf, and everything else that was needed to make our backyard more appealing and useful. His crew was punctual and went about their work in an organized fashion. The entire project was completed on time and on budget. Later, we also asked him to install synthetic turf on our front yard as well. We highly recommend Mike's company, Westcoast Hardscape.

I would highly recommend Westcoast Hardscape, led by Mike and his team. We requested a total of 4 bids for our complete front and back yard design. He was the only one who provided an itemized breakdown of cost to complete the project. They were able to accommodate a few change orders without much hassle or delay to our original timeline, which was much appreciated. Our yard design was completed by Yardzen and Mike and his team made everything a reality. Overall, the team was professional, attentive, and their workmanship was excellent. I cannot wait to work with the team on future projects.

Westcoast Hardscape really focused on customer service and great pricing. They finished our large flush deck and front driveway in a timely and quality manner. Their carpenter is great. It doesn't hurt to check-in and ask them about key aspects of the project to make sure it's done the way you expect. They let us add-on and change parts of the project without nickling and diming us, which makes things so much smoother. Their crew was always nice and friendly.
