Oak Lofts & Extensions Ltd

We recently had our loft conversion completed by Greg and his team, our first major building project. We tendered to 4 companies but selected Oak Lofts based on recommendation from friends and also his relaxed approach when discussing the designs. The project required the entire roof removing from the property due to insufficient clearance for the conversion, so quite a project. One thing you wish for when selecting a company to do work is for them to be on site every day doing the work. Well there was a team on site everyday by 8am throughout the duration, never once missing a day. In fact they asked to work Saturdays and bank holidays too! The finish to the project was superb and all who have seen the interior have commented so. And with any project - there was much we wanted to alter as the build took shape - and this was never an issue at all, in fact Greg helped us a lot in the decision making process of any amends we requested. Lastly they were also incredibly tidy in terms of outside the house , and this was important for us as we share a drive with our neighbour. Honestly cannot recommend Oak Lofts enough. First class!

When we embarked on carrying out a single-story extension and loft conversion it was important to get the right builder. Greg was not actually through any direct recommendations but we chose him over the recommendations we had as he was responsive and appeared no problem was too big to overcome. Greg took massive pride in saying he NEVER overruns... He actually finished a few weeks early for us! As with any build, there are a number of concerns before you get going such as keeping the peace with the neighbors and waste removal but again Greg over-exceeded expectations to the point the neighbors couldn't stop commenting about what a great and respectful building team. In terms of the finish again it's to the highest of standards and with any build there will be several snagging items that Greg has no issue in coming back and resolving. He came in bang on budget (except for the additional items we added to the list but all were priced inline with the rest of the build) Normally I would be cautious about recommending works of tradesmen to friends and family due to the risk of it going wrong. But I would recommend Greg and team at the drop of a hat with no reservation and have done already! Thank you Greg!

We bought our place with a rear extension recently done and decided to also convert the loft. We approached different companies for the loft conversion, including Greg at Oak Lofts that we knew did the rear recenlty. A large number of loft converters are only focusing on loft only and do not seem to be interested in anything else. Greg and the team have a general building capabilities, which means that they can do above and beyond the loft conversion. In our case, we had important rescheduling of the first floor layout (change partition location...) and the ground floor (partition removal and other) which most of the loft specialists would prefer not to do as this are also time consuming and possibly outside their expertise given they are specialist of loft. We are a family of 4 including 2 young kids and Greg and the team managed to work around us so that we did not have to rent another property during the works, this was helpful from a financial standpoint. Roman (Greg's brother) was leading the works with a team very hard working and that deliver an impressive workmanship. They only asked us what we wished and never encountered a problem to transfer to us, but only solutions to problems generally also supporting better design/cost outcome. All the team were extremely courteous which helps during important works. To note that Greg is not only the manager, but when necessary also helped the team in the works to finish in time. Greg has also been responsive, also after the works were finished. The works were finished in line with initial timing expectation and in line with the very detailed budget. The budget is also different from other suppliers that come with an headline number and underlying details is not very clear. Greg did not send a pitch with pictures but a detailed budget with all lines included so there were no surprises. In relation to the overall costs, we believe that Greg was well positioned, but more importantly offered an holistic solution. As a final comment, i normally do not write reviews online, which is self explanatory. I would definitely recommend Greg.

I cannot rate Greg and his team highly enough. Quite a few elements of the build involved creating bespoke items and adapting things to meet my design requirements, nothing was too much trouble and Greg ensured it was all done to the highest standard to achieve exactly the aesthetic I was after. Greg’s teams finish was immaculate, they completed the project on time and within budget and always with a great positive attitude! Having done a previous renovation I have experience with other builders (who were fine) and can safely say Greg is a cut above!

Greg and his team carried out a single storey extension plus a loft conversion on our property in Balham in 2021. We can't thank Greg enough for the work he has done on our house and would highly recommend using them in the future for any other projects. The build itself was to a high standard and Greg was always available to discuss any issues that came up during construction. Costings from his initial budget/quotation were generally in line with the final build cost and whenever there were any additional costs (mostly requested by ourselves) Greg was clear in what those costs were, so there were no nasty surprises on the final settlement.

We engaged Greg and his team to build a 6m, single storey rear extension and complete a full house refurb, which included two new bathrooms. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product. The team were excellent from start to finish. They were polite, friendly and courteous. Greg in particular was excellent. His communication throughout the project was exceptional and he would always be available, often responding to emails and texts out of hours. We highly recommend Greg and his team and wouldn’t use anyone else for building work.

Outstanding. Cannot recommend highly enough. I'm normally wary of great reviews but it's entirely justified here. Greg was incredibly helpful from the very outset, helping me formulate ideas for my house extension and then working with me every step of the way throughout the six-month process. Not only were they extremely sensitive to my very tight budget, they consulted with me at all stages to review and adjust costs, ensuring any increases were clearly explained and offset to stay on budget. The work is of a great standard – Greg and his team, led by the magnificent Roman, were a joy to have about the place and their conscientiousness meant that they never settled for anything but the highest standard, even going the extra mile on many occasions to improve things on the job. I couldn't be happier with the end result – a fabulous home for me and my kids that exceeds my expectations. If you have the chance to use them, don't hesitate.

If you have a building project, hire Greg. If you have a building project, hire Greg and his team. It is that simple. For them the client is central in their way of working: not only do they do the job to an exceedingly high standard, their pricing is also fair - it compared favourably with fifteen other builders we talked to - they are courteous, hard-working, take pride in their work, and furthermore, help with suggestions how your project can be improved. Even then, should you think anything is not quite right or different from the way you thought it would look, a brief conversation with Greg will always resolve it. Our project was a complete renovation and extension of a house in a conservation area. It was finished on time - in seven months! - and on budget; they always worked within the planning guidelines, cleaned up every day, and sent an updated schedule and budget every fortnight. The neighbours commented regularly how polite the team was and how good everything looked. Besides, it was all done with minimal inconvenience. We had experience with other builders before, but as others have said, Greg and his team truly 'rewrote the builder's rule-book'. They are indeed, we think, the best builders in London.

My wife and I had our loft conversion carried out by Style Lofts and Extensions Ltd in March-May 2021 and we couldn't be happier with the end result. From our initial meeting with Greg and the architect to discuss our plans, all the way through to completion, they were professional throughout. The construction team led by Greg's brother Roman were first class always on time each day. We felt at ease throughout the build and were kept us updated with progress, and when a tricky problem presented itself Greg and Roman with their extensive experience were on hand to find a solution. We did make some revisions to the original plans mid-way through the project and Greg and his team were happy to accommodate making us feel that nothing was too much trouble. The very few snagging issues were resolved straight away and completed the work in a quick timeframe and to a high standard. The neighbours also commented on the quality of the work! We are so happy that we chose Style Lofts and highly recommend them to anyone else looking to have a loft conversion done.

The Style Lofts team are outstanding. I cannot recommend them enough. The owner (Houzz won’t let me name him) is easy going, humorous, and takes time to get to know his clients, but add to this that he and his team are exceptionally hard working, and deliver really high quality - it makes the whole project much more relaxing for the client. Their pricing was very competitive and reasonable too. We're so, so pleased with our home, and we always be fans of Style Lofts. Next time we need work done we won't go to anyone else.

Fabulous job really listened to what we wanted. The builders were really hard working never stopped and extremely polite. Very easy to work with. Highly recommend . Finished when they said on the actual week.

Last year, Greg and his team did my home extension which required several steels and large expanse of sliding windows. They put in a new ensuite bathroom, flooring, shelving and a patio and decking in the garden amongst many other bits of work. He and his team were extremely reliable, produced work to a high quality and were fantastic at problem solving. Greg went out of his way to ensure I was happy with the work and was a pleasure to liaise with. He invariably answered the phone when I called and if not available would get back to me very quickly without needing to be chased. I can highly recommend Greg and his team and plan to use them again in the very near future.
