Shelley Takas, a Smith & Noble In-Home Designer

I’m inspired by the intersection of beauty and functionality, and strive to attain both in all of my designs. I received my BFA from the Art Institute of Atlanta and have over twenty years of experience in the design world. After teaching myself to sew, I established and ran a drapery workroom, which served To The Trade clients near and far. I have a hands-on understanding of how window treatments are fabricated, and how small shifts in color, texture and pattern can impact the look and feel of the design, and ultimately, the room. I’m thrilled to bring my experience to Smith & Noble and to serve as one of their In-Home Designers. Smith and Noble’s custom window treatments are known for their exceptional quality, and with their vast selection of colors, patterns, and designs, I’m able to perfectly tailor my clients’ spaces. When I’m not working on a design project, I enjoy baking, listening to audible books, and entertaining with my husband.
