Since 1986, Gary Osborne, owner of OSBORNE DESIGN HOUSE, has been designing kitchens and interior cabinetry spaces nationally and internationally. His work has been published in many kitchen and home magazines, design publications, and major brand product brochures. Gary has designed kitchens throughout the world - - encompassing 16 states and 8 different countries. His kitchen and cabinetry designs have been installed in both historic properties as well as luxury spec homes, and a list of clients includes notable architects, designers, contractors, and celebrities. Gary has lectured and spoken on kitchen design at UCLA, the “dwell on design industry show,” and various other trade functions. Gary believes that every well-designed space begins with attention to alignment, proportion, scale, balance, and symmetry.

We recently used Osborne Design House for all the cabinetry on a high end spec home project in Newport Beach and were absolutely thrilled with the results. Gary is an exceptional designer and puts great effort into creating functional spaces with no aesthetic compromises. Gary was always available for consultation on the job site or via phone and email. He is extremely knowledgeable of the various cabinet manufacturers he represents, and it shows in his designs. For our project we used a William Ohs cabinet line and the fit and finish were exceptional. Gary coordinated all aspects of pick up, following up on missing parts, changed details etc. The recommended installer he provided did an excellent job installing the cabinets and with any required paint touch up. I would highly recommend Osborne Design House to any of our clients and contractors alike. Gary is diligent professional, responsive, detailed and a great designer all around. Osbourne design represents good manufacturers but does not provide good service. My $300,000 cabinets were unloaded off of a truck by day workers and severely damaged. Damages were taken care of, but the overall experience and delays were not good considering I used osbourne for over 12 rooms in my home. At the pricing stage I caught several errors totaling around 20k that when I discovered was told “sorry, it was a mistake”. If you are going to try to get the best to design your kitchens and baths, beware of Gary of osbourne design house. He is very eager during the sales process, but at installation he was gone and never even came by to see the finished product. Things were forgotten and many details fell through the crack. My decorator and gc were not satisfied with his behavior and professionalism. The vendor William ohs picked up the slack when I called the ceo. I paid Gary in full and never did anything to deserve this poor quality follow up and service. Be careful, I ended up getting a good finished project, but you need to chase this guy everyday which is literally a job in itself. Beware of this vendor

I sent an email to you addressing your review comments, correcting the record from my point-of-view, and suggesting that we move forward together. I emphasized that we are here for warranty and service issues.
Our mission at Osborne Design House is to offer customers the highest quality in design, products, and installation. We are privileged to represent two top quality cabinet manufacturers for Los Angeles - - - SieMatic and William Ohs. We are also proud to have built a solid referral business and we have many repeat clients in our architect/designer/builder and customer base.
We designed, furnished, and installed 15 rooms of cabinetry in your home. I enjoyed working with you and your wife designing your kitchen (twice, as you moved significant doors and windows and re-oriented the entire area), closets, master baths, office and all the other rooms. We revised your pricing at least 15 times as you continued to make revisions and additions or deletions. There was never a "$20,000 error," nor did I apologize for such. I re-sent copies of signed contracts and itemized charges to you again recently to substantiate the pricing you received.
One week prior to your delivery, I heard that you had contacted the factory CEO about your upcoming payment for order contracts (which included room-by-room pricing) which you had signed copies of for over three months. As I told you at the pricing stage, we have a net price structure for our clients and we included an additional discount based upon your large volume of rooms, as allowed by the factory.
The CEO returned your call and confirmed that your pricing was better than fair. You ordered Premium Cabinetry and upgraded to walnut drawers and interiors throughout.
I'm not sure how William Ohs "picked up the slack," as you state. The CEO told me he never spoke to you again after he returned your call. I wish we could have had an open honest discussion during this time, as I noticed a change in your demeanor before the cabinets were delivered. The delivery followed heavy rain and the cabinetry had to be carried over mud to the back of the house and up a slippery ramp to the first floor. We delivered as requested, but the movers were unable to use dollies due to the muddy conditions. The damage was minor, given the conditions, but certainly unacceptable, and we should have delayed the delivery until the conditions were stabilized.
In no way was I "gone during installation." I recorded over 20 jobsite visits and over 100 emails of correspondence to follow up on parts, add orders, scheduling, and special requests. Even though at least 75% of the dents and nicks came from construction crews following the cabinetry installation, we paid $3K for touch up as a good-will gesture, knowing your disappointment over the delivery damage. Additional closet hardware, parts, cabinet locks, and extra touch-up paint were purchased and delivered at no charge. When I mentioned these facts to you in my last email, you said "Everything you describe below (site visits, multiple quotes, touch-up paint, etc.) was your job and was what you would expect from the highest end kitchen available on the market."
Perhaps I was actually doing my job, but you are entitled to your opinion of how I did it, and we may respectfully disagree.
Please know that we are absolutely available for any future needs regarding your cabinetry and warranty.

My husband and I purchased our home in 1997 and wanted to remodel our kitchen from the time we moved in. Over the ensuing 18 years we visited dozens of kitchen showrooms and looked at a countless number of cabinets. One day in 2014 I was visiting a couple who had just remodeled their kitchen. I asked them where they purchased the kitchen cabinets and they told me 'Osborne Design House'. They gave me the name of the owner and manager, Gary Osborne, and a few days later I phoned him and made an appointment. Once my husband and I met Gary and he visited our home for a consultation, we both knew that we had finally found someone who would be able to take our ideas and created a kitchen design that was both workable and feasible. Gary simplified the options for us in terms of design, cabinet style and color, flooring, counter material, appliances, and cost. He has so much experience in kitchen design and architecture that he immediately knows exactly how to proceed. The cabinet manufacturers that he represents are all fabulous and he has something for everyone. In addition, Gary's personal qualities are such that he is wonderful to work with--he really listened to what we wanted in our kitchen and he incorporated it into the design. He is patient, professional, and goes above and beyond what is expected of a designer. His cabinet installer is wonderful as well. Gary and his team just made the entire process so easy and painless. Our new kitchen and family room are absolutely beautiful and my husband and I remark everyday about how happy we are that we finally had both rooms remodeled. We owe it all to Gary Osborne and his team for making our dream a reality.

It was a pleasure working with Mr. Osborne, and the designs produced were superior, and the cabinets that were manufactured by Wm Ohs were also superior.
