J Henry Designs and their builder Andrew & team remodeled our main bathroom and we are very pleased with the end result.

J. Henry Designs completed a full kitchen renovation for us. This included the demolition of the old kitchen, removing outdated windows and putting in new larger picture windows, moving appliances, and installing new cabinetry, center island, flooring, and appliance. A total re-do! The project was not started until the windows came in and were ready to be installed.....this minimized delays in project completion. J. Henry Designs changed some project details as we went along without issue. The contractor who does the work communicates well, is very conscientious about details, and does great work! The price point was competitive with other bids. We LOVE the final results! We will most likely be using J. Henry Designs for future projects!

I couldn’t be happier that I found J Henry Designs among the best Houzz kitchen designers and contacted them for a quote of my remodel project. This was my first major interior remodel, and I needed assistance with a design and selection of materials. Jolynn and Todd made the process painless. They listened to what I wanted, provided feedback, offered suggestions, and then created a beautiful design based on our discussions. We talked through the pros and cons of various cabinet colors and flooring types until arriving at the perfect combination to suit my circumstances and desired effect. Jolynn helped me select a countertop and without her valuable input, I likely wouldn’t have considered the one I ultimately selected. So glad she pointed it out…I love it! Then the contractor, Andrew, came in and made it all a reality. He is a true craftsman - meticulous in all aspects of the project. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this experience. It was pleasure working with these professionals, and my ugly, outdated 80s kitchen and laundry room are now the brightest and most beautiful rooms in my house. I will definitely hire them again when I am ready to update the bathrooms. Highly recommend!

This was my first remodel and I did not know what to expect; however, Todd explained everything step-by-step and was very patient with me throughout the process. He was quick to respond to all my emails and would follow up with phone calls to ensure clarity. We were referred to J. Henry Designs from a friend to do a Kitchen remodeling project. This project included replacing our 20+ years old cabinets, counter tops, and lighting. J. Henry Designs delivered on time, on budget, and on target exactly what we were looking to do. Not only did they deliver a superior solution, they also provided us with a temp work space, including a working sink, and counter-top that we could use during the entire project. My husband and I highly recommend J. Henry Designs for your renovation project! Jolynn and Todd assisted us in making over our 1985-era kitchen. While we have done some smaller projects in the kitchen over the last 36 years, the 36 year old cabinets had never been replaced. You know, when something is still structurally sound, it is difficult to decide to spend money to discard and replace them. But it was time. They were dark, outdated, and lacking some functionality. We also wanted to install a wider door into our adjacent powder room, and we wanted to refresh and update our 36-year-old fireplace hearth and surround. One of the challenges for Jolynn was that we wanted to keep the kitchen hardwood flooring, which did not extend under the old cabinets. She worked her design magic to fit (as close as possible) the components of semi-custom cabinets into the existing footprint. She made some design/organization suggestions — she offered us some design options — and it all came together into a beautiful, updated kitchen. Jolynn and Todd are very customer-focused. They were always available by text, email, or phone — we never felt uncomfortable asking questions or expressing concerns. When it comes to selecting tile, paint, hardware, countertops — she will certainly give her input and suggestions and go shopping with you, but she does not ever push those opinions on you. Whether you wish to select those things on your own, or whether you need her to hold your hand, or whether you need for her to just select everything — she will work with you in the way that you are most comfortable. And let me sing the praises of their on-site contractor. I do not know if they have more than one contractor with whom they work — but we had Andrew handling our job. He is simply fabulous. Smart, detailed, easy to talk to, skilled in just about all of the trades. His partner Bryan is a flooring specialist, and he repaired/patched our hardwood floor so that you would never guess that the new cabinets are not exactly the same size ad the old cabinets. I believe Todd and Jolynn will tell you that they are an important part of their team. Andrew is excellent in every way. We only had one hiccup along the way. The stone fabricator, selected by J Henry Designs, cut the largest piece of our (very expensive) countertop stone 3 inches too short. Disappointing at the time, but we were quickly offered several options for resolution. Fortunately, there was one more slab available from that stone lot, so they were able to re-cut without our having to go shop again. Installation was delayed by less than a week. Though the mistake was not J Henry’s fault, they calmly helped us to navigate that momentary challenge. Though we are still adjusting to the slightly different cabinet configurations, we are loving our beautiful new kitchen. My husband particularly loves his new bar sink. Cheers!

We found J. Henry Designs among the Best Of Houzz Winners. We and our adult son were doing some major updates on his kitchen and 3 baths on a home he acquired 2+ years ago in Lilburn. The home was built in 1983 by well-regarded John Wieland Homes and was due for updating. J. Henry Designs is a wife/husband team of Jolynn and Todd Henry. We got several estimates and design plans from top designer/renovators, all Best Of Houzz Winners. The estimates were generally in line with each other. Some years ago, I had managed bank-owned properties in SunTrust's Atlanta HQ, so I had some experience dealing with renovation contractors. Our most major project was the kitchen (nearly $30k all-in, w/o appliances for the contractor part). Due partly to so many customers renovating as a side effect of Covid 19, there was a bit of a delay before we could get started...and minor later delays later awaiting materials. We found the Henry's to be responsive, professional, attentive to detail, with apropos expertise as renovation design and implementation contractors. The worker bees were nice. I am an email guy-- Jolynn was quick to reply, and with a cute sense of humor. We were asked to choose and provide some materials. Jolynn recommended Floor & Decor as a source, and offered to meet us there, but Mom, Dad and son were able to choose on our own. At the end of the day, the 4 rooms look great! You see the kitchen as you enter the front door of the home, so its appearance is important. By recent design standards, the rooms are smaller than some you see, but the redesign work makes them feel larger. We have every confidence that the updates will more than return their cost. We recommend Todd and Jolynn Henry (J. Henry Designs) without reservation. They are worthy of their Best Of Houzz Winner accolade.

J.Henry Designs did a wonderful job with our kitchen renovation. This was our first major house renovation and they supported us through every step. Jolynn and Todd were able to see beyond our small kitchen and gave us ideas on how to increase our storage and counter space. The team they used was excellent. Andrew did an excellent job installing the new cabinets. Jolynn responded to my questions very quickly. Both Jolynn and Todd checked in through the entire process. I would highly recommend them and would use them again for other house renovations.

We are very happy with the services provided by the entire crew from J. Henry Designs. From start to finish they were professional, timely and skilled. We decided to renovate our main floor bathroom including the conversion of a tub to a shower enclosure. They listened to our ideas and provided us with a competitive bid. Their assistance with the design and selection of materials was invaluable while still being true to our original concept. Once the project was scheduled we were told the project would take up to two and a half weeks to complete. Their crew was on time, professional and respectful of our house and time. They finished the entire project ahead of schedule in two weeks with no unexpected surprises. They made sure we were satisfied with the finished project. We highly recommend them for any project.

I recently worked with J. Henry Designs on my kitchen and master bath remodel. This was my first experience with a project like this and I was nervous going into it. Jolynn was great and even shopped with me to help pick out flooring, backsplash, etc. I couldn't have done that without her. The crew was also friendly and courteous and took great care with my home. They went above and beyond many times and I would definitely use them again.

Jolynn and her team did an excellent job on a full remodel/redesign of our kitchen. Our house was built in 1940 and included an addition on the previous kitchen, so this was much more than just getting new cabinets and countertops. This was a total redesign that included the demolition of a wall, new floor joists, ceilings and matching 80 year old hardwood floors to brand new hardwood floors. I really did not know what I wanted when Jolynn first came to look at the space in December 2019, but she designed a kitchen that opened up the house and incorporated our dining room into the new kitchen. It does more than I thought the space could do. The attention to detail was good, and any overages in the budget were discussed a cleared as early as possible. I would absolutely hire this team again.

This summer we decided to renovate our master and hall bathroom. We interviewed four other contractors, before deciding to use J.Henry Designs. We are glad we chose, this company as both bathrooms are exceptional. Jolyn, Keith and Todd were very engaged during the renovation and were responsive when a few challenges occurred. We chose J.Henry designs to do a complete remodel of our master bath after receiving several estimates and meeting several contractors. Hands-down it was not a question for us on who we were going to go with and at the end of the day we were proven 100% right in our choice. Jolynn was amazing to work with. She went above and beyond and her foreman Keith was amazing and all the contractors were so nice, polite and respectful of our space and time. We had a complete gut of our master bath which was a 1990 bathroom that had many problems. I absolutely hated our old bathroom and now it’s making me late to go to work because I love this new bathroom so much! I feel like I am in a spa! I strongly recommend you give her a call.

We just had our master bath remodeled by JHenry designs. Jolynn Henry and her crew did an outstanding job on our 25 year old original master. They gutted the entire bathroom. They put in new floor, bigger shower, new soaking tub, toilet, everything! We even had our old floral wallpaper covered and you cannot even tell it has been covered instead of removed. We are so pleased and excited to have this gorgeous bathroom that makes us feel like we are in an upscale hotel! Call Jolynn if you need your kitchen or bathroom remodeled. We used this firm to design and manage the reconstruction of our master bath in our home and add a new gas stove in our kitchen. We are thrilled with the work completed, the contractor they worked with and the professionalisms they are exhibited. It was a wise decision and very cost effective for us.

J Henry did a great job working with our existing cabinets. We had done a ton of DIY work in the kitchen but needed serious guidance on countertop replacement. Timely appointments, appropriate communication, delivered on-budget, and gave advice in a tactful way. Also visited the granite showroom with us to guide us through this process and had the contractor there to also provide his opinion on the installation process. Turn them loose and don't waste time worrying how it will turn out. Very talented

We had a great experience with Jolene from start to finish. She was professional and knowledgeable and her crew did an amazing job with our master bath and our Jack and Jill. They finished in a timely manner and were very considerate during the holidays and made sure major projects were completed before the holiday break. I will use them again for other renovations.
