Beachwood opened its doors in Avalon on the Northern Beaches of NSW in 1993. The collection of high quality solid timber furniture is unique in character, affordable and made to suit the Australian lifestyle. Rustic or contemporary, the style is fresh with a coastal influence. Our homewares and soft furnishings compliment the furniture and give Beachwood its own distinct feel. Beachwood specialises in custom-made furniture. Working with a small, skilful and artistic group of craftspeople, we create individual pieces that are stylish yet simple and timeless. Furniture with rustic, whitewashed and natural timber finishes is what creates such a fresh and comfortable feel. Beachwood also designs and makes furniture from the warehouse in Warriewood. We work with reclaimed timbers to create beautiful one-off pieces. We are a small team who have worked together for years. We are passionate people that are excited by beautiful things. We are a strong part of the local community and always strive to ensure that our customers are equally excited and inspired by what we do.

Even as I type this we are excitedly waiting on our next custom-made piece from our favourite interiors store. There’s absolutely nowhere else we would turn to for our interior decoration needs. It’s so obvious the stock Beachwood source is done by a passionate team who have a strong knowledge and background of design and aesthetics, not just what’s in fashion in the moment. I’ve always found it didn’t matter whether it’s a candle or a couch I’m buying, the service we get from everyone at Beachwood is always incredible. Whoever picks up your inquiry or sale, the whole team at Beachwood share the same passion and professionalism, making the experience so lovely. I honestly still get as excited today when purchasing as I did the first day I stepped into the Avalon store all those years ago. It’s my happy place, and I want to take that home.

I have been a customer of Beachwood since its inception many years ago! Over the years and several homes later I have purchased customised furniture and floor stock items, soft furnishings and accessories and design advice. I continually return to Beachwood time and time again for their products and excellent customer service all of which are great quality. Both locations offer a varied range of solid timber furnishing options for viewing as well as one off unique items and original artworks and accessories to complete your look. Be sure to chat with the friendly staff about customising or custom made pieces and finishes! Customer service is where they excel! Nothing is too much trouble - whether it be loaning some items on approval, interior scheme advice or troubleshooting. The very knowledgeable and warm staff are only too happy to assist with design and colour direction or suggest combinations. Offering a relaxed Australian coastal design aesthetic with flair this is your one stop shop - a must to visit!!

I absolutely love my new Beachwood furniture - it is beach living at its best! It was a pleasure to meet Poppy on my first visit and to work with Florence during the design process. The entire team at both the Avalon shop and the Warriewood showroom were welcoming, friendly and enormously generous with their time. The freedom and ease to ask questions and to make choices from inception to delivery was reassuring - the entire process was seamless. It was a joy to visit the shop and the showroom to choose and design my entire collection for home - indoor and outdoor furniture, rugs, lamps and shades, cushions, bedding and beautiful pieces from their giftware/homeware range. The entire Beachwood team dedicated their time, creative flair and expertise to create my dream home. Florence their interior designer is truly gifted in creating beautiful, that takes advantage of the the surrounding beach landscapes. We most recently engaged Florence to design our babies nursery which we think is the most beautiful of all!

I had the great good fortune to be recommended the services of interior designer Florence from Beachwood in Avalon. We used a combination of Beachwood’s own unique pieces supplemented with some made to order pieces. I had absolute confidence in all the recommendations we were given. These included dining, bedroom, bathroom, outdoor furniture and a huge array of soft furnishings including cushions and rugs, lamps and artwork. All of which transformed our beach house into a gorgeous coastal home. The process was extremely stressfree. Beachwood have an amazing shop in Avalon and a larger warehouse close by where you can browse their stock. As I live outside Sydney, a lot of our communication was through photos via email. Nothing was too much trouble. We have had so many compliments from family and visiting guests about how lovely each room feels and how everything just fits together so perfectly. Most importantly though, we have a home that we love to live in thanks to Beachwood’s beautiful furniture and the incredible styling of Florence.

Beachwood Avalon is one of my favourite stores to visit whenever I am in the neighbourhood. They stock an ever changing range of beautiful homewares and they furniture is stylish, classic and affordable. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Love this shop !
