Platinum Pools and Spas LLC

After getting multiple quotes we hired Platinum Pools and Spas July of 2020 for our pool install. We were told it would take 3-5 months initially. We picked everything for our pool on the 2nd visit to the showroom (tile, coping, color and that is what we stuck with the whole project). It’s a standard size pool, there is a cutout where a table goes, and we added a custom-built fountain by Dave the owner and 3 different sized ceramic turtles for the bottom of the pool. Nothing that was out of ordinary for them, we were told. 11 months later and multiple frustrations with the project, the job is still not finalized. We have countless times Dave the owner stated he would be here, some our request, some he initiated where he just did not call and did not show. Always had excuses on how they had emergencies and were very busy when we reached out to him to find out why. Any date they quoted they did not make and always at the fault of the sub-contractors. They went to pick up the ceramic turtles we ordered from them 8 months prior, the day before our pool was to be shot, and the vendor did not have our order and it would be at least three weeks before we could get what we wanted so we settled for less again. We had already waited 9 months for the shot so we weren’t rescheduling. They blamed the vendor for not taking the order when the called it in back in January. Our concrete on the side of our house where they brought through the heavy machinery was all cracked after they were finished, Mike told us they would fix the concrete by sawing out the broken area then repoured. When Dave came out on a Friday afternoon to fix the concrete several months after the it had been damaged, he was going to try to patch pieces of the sidewalk back together. After we told him that was unacceptable, patching concrete does not work, he left and we did not hear from him again. I called and spoke to Wiley on the following Thursday let him know what issues we were having, he told me he would get back to me Friday at the latest Monday. Never heard back so the following Thursday I then had to send them a certified letter to ask when they would be back to fix the many issues that were still not complete. Dave set up an appointment a week later, he again did not show or call for. At this point we are waiting on the fountain to be anchored in because it is a hazard and very unstable. The subcontractors Platinum hired to do the pavers did not follow the layout, so they did not have enough to finish the job. Dave promised he ordered us additional pavers on April 15th, we offered a deposit he would not take it and he told us the paver order should be completed around May 15th. The table top fell off. We received an email from Dave on 6/10/21 stating they would start the work on the issues and damages on 6/15. Today is June 15th, Platinum pools did not show up again. Our deck still sits uncompleted and we had to hire another contractor to finish. Wish we never hired them.
