I simply could not have renovated my house in the Scottish Borders so beautifully without Jane's help. Not only a highly creative interior designer sympathetic to the period of the property and its location, Jane works collaboratively with the client to understand and enhance their vision. Her network of outstanding trades was essential to completion of the work. I would not hesitate to recommend Jane as an interior designer for all projects, both large and small.

Jane helped our family fill a new 3 story home in Edinburgh. We were in the US when we bought the house so it was impossible to do it ourselves. Jane was lovely to work with from start to finish. She was organized, professional and communicative at all stages. She listened to our needs (and she was dealing with two fussy artists) and made great suggestions and decisions based on her extensive experience. We were incredibly impressed with the quality of craftsmanship displayed by the drapery seamstresses, decorators, electricians, joiners and handymen she employed. The quality of the textiles and furniture she chose exceeded my expectations and we loved every piece. I would highly recommend Jane for any project.

We looked no further than Jane’s website when we decided we needed assistance with upgrading the interiors of our Edinburgh New Town flat, and were delighted when she agreed to help. David and I were both rookies and felt overwhelmed by all the various options. We wanted to retain the original features of the flat and mix the traditional with the new. Jane worked closely with us to plan the interiors of five rooms - lounge, three bedrooms, study/fourth bedroom - as well as our hallway. None had been upgraded for almost twenty years. She also advised on changes to soft furnishings, especially curtains, in other rooms. Jane took great care to understand our personal styles/idiosyncrasies whilst bringing new sympathetic ideas to the table. At the same time she brought home to us how the flat should be treated as a whole, with natural flows from the hall to the other rooms including our dining room/library and kitchen, which had been upgraded a few years earlier. She listened carefully to our thoughts and produced sets of beautiful illustrations/mood boards of ideas, along with links and contacts for everything we chose with special emphasis on value for money. All her recommendations were top class and the individuals who worked on the project, some for extended periods, were all a pleasure to have in our home. Jane was immensely patient and understanding when on multiple occasions, due to illness and death in the family, we had to reschedule appointments which, due to our mutual busy schedules, had been arranged often weeks in advance. The final results have massively exceeded our original expectations of what we hoped to achieve. I think one of the remarkable aspects of Jane’s approach is that she never tries to take ownership of new suggestions, she is expert at emphasising they are joint endeavours. Jane renovated and refurbised three of our rooms and has done such a brilliant job we would fully reccommend her. She's been so good we've asked her to come back and sort out our living areas for us!

Jane and her team did an excellent job getting everything in place for our new apartment. My wife and I could not be more happy with the outcome, and no doubt in our mind that we couldn't have achieved such an result without Jane's expertise, network of high quality tradesmen (think joiner, electrician, painter and handyman) and all round advice. We were living overseas, preparing to move back to Edinburgh, when we first engaged with Jane. This meant we had to work with her remotely for the majority of the time. This was no issue at all. We did in fact hit a view problems our end with access and handover dates, and to Jane's great credit, she worked around this and had a problem solving mindset. For me, a can do attitude to address unforeseen issues is one of the best qualities in any business partner. Jane as a person has great experience and knowledge, is very hands on, takes strong ownership and is very detailed. Jane and her team were absolutely brilliant to work with. Being overseas we were a little daunted about how to decorate and furnish a flat but Jane made it all painless and seamless. From her style and design expertise, to her network of highly skilled tradesmen, to her attention to every detail - the experience was such a pleasure. Jane's focus on clear and direct communication made our project go quickly and efficiently. She sent very detailed boxes of paint and fabric swatches, combined with drawings and layouts that made picking everything from 3,000 miles away very easy. We were so happy to see the finished result - exactly as we had pictured it. We asked Jane to help us with choosing a wall colour, curtains and seating for our living room. We are very pleased with the result. Jane really has a holistic approach to working with her clients. She took into account our colour preferences, my husband’s ideas of what kind of chair he would like (a challenge!) as well as our budget. I am so glad I asked her to help. I loved working with Jane! She transformed our bedroom and 2 bathrooms with her suggestions and I really loved all of her wallpaper and paint ideas. I had moved into a new-build and knew that if I tried to decorate it all myself, it would never get done and I so wanted a warm and welcoming home. I took the plunge to ask for interior design help with the majority of the house: living room, dining area, hallway, bedrooms and study. Engaging with an interior designer is something I never thought I would do, as I’ve never been one for too much extravagance, but am so so deep down glad I did and that I chose Jane as not only have I needed up with a beautiful warm and comfortable home that flows, but Jane made it such an enjoyable experience. She really got what I wanted and delivered it beyond any expectations. The choices of colour palettes Jane gave me to start with were just sublime and she mixed patterns, shades and fabrics that I would never in a million years do. Jane provided a complete turn key service for design and installation to furnish our new flat. From start to finish, her professionalism and communication were outstanding. She realized our vision in a way that surpassed all expectations. She handled everything, from design, to sourcing, to receiving deliveries and supervising installations. When a problem occurred, she doggedly chased up the issue until it was resolved. Her attention to detail was impeccable. She even made sure our pets were happy!! With Jane's help, the dreary hallway of our Edinburgh flat has been transformed. We now have a space that we love. It's good to have specific examples so here are some things Jane did to make this project so successful. First, storage is in short supply in an old flat. Jane found the perfect chest of drawers for the hall and at a very good price! Now I have lots of extra space for linens, which was one of my requirements. We've collected a lot of art and I wanted to use it but was also so bored of some of it. Jane showed us how to hang it things in a new way that made all the old pieces look fresh - I love my pictures again! We do like to visit antiques and vintage shops, and inevitably bring home some 'finds'. When we showed these to Jane, she easily incorporated everything we bought into the final design. There were other decisions to make -- one of the important things to get right was to pick the right chandelier. Jane was wonderful at providing lots of chandeliers for us to look at and consider. The biggest obstacle ultimately was the floor covering. The flat is on a crescent and doesn't have a single square room. When we weren't able to find a supplier who would work with the tricky room dimensions, Jane found a local source who could make the bespoke area rug and was a total dream to work with too. The final result is a comfortable, easy space to live in, that links all the rooms flowing off it and yet has a personality of its own. None of this could have been completed without Jane. We're grateful for her patience, creativity, ingenuity and vision and recommend her 100% without any hesitation.

Jane was great to work with. She helped us turn our living room and hallway into the beautiful, traditional family space that we were looking for. She has fantastic attention to detail, is extremely thorough and was great at communicating with us from the start. It was one of the best decisions we made, when we approached Jane to help us redesign our lounge. The lounge is rectangular in shape and had a ‘corridor’ feel about it. It wasn’t a space we enjoyed sitting. Jane took the time to help us identify what we liked, disliked and what we wanted to achieve. I am incredibly pleased to have decided to work with Jane on our latest renovation. She is extremely professional, reliable, has a fantastic eye for design and an outstanding ability to really listen to her client’s needs and concerns. She addresses them - patiently, weighting options - one by one. I bought a classic two bedroom Georgian Edinburgh flat in Stockbridge, Edinburgh and I brought Jane in to both do the Interior Design and also project manage the whole project. The initial interview helped me articulate what I was looking for, I was very keen to keep the original features and bring out the classic look but update it with modern convenience and technology. Getting the two to work together was a real challenge but Jane got what I was looking for straight away. The end result does exactly what I wanted and she has done an amazing job of getting the look to flow through the rooms so the flat feels like a whole and not a set of individual rooms. Jane has an incredible eye for detail, provides a great range of options and constantly evolved and refined the design as I started to get a better idea of what I wanted. The end result is something that not only looks amazing but feels very personal. I can not recommend her highly enough.

We recently used Jane’s consultancy service as part of our ongoing house renovation. Having bought a ‘total doer upper’ we’re trying to keep a tight reign on costs but, at the same time, it’s our forever home so want to invest in ‘getting it right’. For us the most daunting thing, once we’d nailed the structural changes, was how to marry the blend of old (the house is Victorian) and modern (kitchen etc) and the colour schemes for the various rooms. I was keen for the rooms to have a flow but I also don’t want everything painted in the same neutral shade. Jane has taken the time to gain a good understanding of our needs (we have a toddler) and personal tastes as well as advising on how to incorporate our existing pieces of furniture and artwork (where appropriate). Jane’s advice has been invaluable on choosing the various elements from paint colours, to tiles and floor coverings. We’re still only part way through but we’re so please with our now ‘finished’ rooms and we’ve already received lots of compliments from family and friends on ‘our’ choices. We’re looking forward to working with Jane on the remaining rooms and finishing our project so we can really enjoy our new homes

We bought our house in Glasgow 18 months ago, thinking we would redecorate room by room, and on getting the keys realised it needed a lot more work – a total refurbishment along with building an extension. This was pretty daunting and trying to visualise the finished job wasn’t easy – and that’s when Jane got involved. She was so good at helping us decide on options tabled by the architect – the use of space, planning a new kitchen, using natural light to best effect, and then later with choice of colours for the decorating work. She really listened to what we wanted and considered our existing furniture, paintings etc when making suggestions for paint colours and curtain fabrics. We moved in 4 months ago and are so pleased with the house – Jane’s help and assistance was first class.

Jane did an amazing job with our dining room! We wanted a contemporary look were we could gather with family and friends. I also wanted to refurbish and include my Grandmother’s old table. Jane really listened to us and completely transformed the room. She sourced options and recommendations, and made sure that the room came together with attention to all the details like custom framing of our selected artwork. She even found the perfect chairs that made the room modern and comfortable while really complimenting Grandma's table. It is now our favorite room in the house! I'm a professional painter and decorator of 35 years, I worked with Jane last winter on one of her first interior design projects. In all my working years , I haven't worked with a better designer than Jane. The entire project was a success from start to finish, and the end results were astonishingly good. Jane is such a professional and a joy to work with.

Jane is a designer who really knows how to listen to what their customer wants or likes and then work with that, but also introduce new ideas, to create a finished design that looks great. She introduced some modern and sophisticated colours and features that I might not have had the confidence to try myself, but knowing she had a plan to tie everything together made it possible.
