We had a wonderful experience working with Watercourse Design. We hired Watercourse Design to help us come up with the master plan for our backyard, which we knew would include a pool. We worked through the design and once the pool was installed, Watercourse Design laid the surrounding patio and fireplace. They did a lot of our landscaping too. Their team is made up of true craftsmens. Unknowingly, I picked a natural stone for our patio that came in varied thicknesses. The Watercourse Design crew had the patience and precision to make certain that each individual stone aligned with the next to ensure a level patio. Our backyard project turned out beautifully! And we stayed on budget. We are very satisfied with the finished project and with our experience working with Watercourse Design!

First met Ian Lamers when he worked for a major landscape firm. We were so impressed. When he later started his own firm he was hired for a $50K landscape project at our new home. He didn't disappoint. Creative, on-schedule, integrity, and a wonderful efficient crew. The entire project came in below budget and we are so happy with the design decisions. Definitely include WD in your proposal process. We are quite fussy customers and believe we got the best results possible for our projects.

Building Concepts and Design

Ian and his team are true professionals. His sincere, authentic and non-contrived style of landscape design is truly special and hard to find in the landscape world. BCD Homes has used Watercourse for several extensive, comprehensive landscape projects on many high end custom homes and we have never been disappointed. Not only is the design thoughtful, their design/build model results in super high quality installs, and even beyond that, they stand by their product and always come back to fix any issues.

JRD Landscape Lighting

I am a fellow contractor that works with many other contractors in the projects I work on. Many of them are landscape design and build firms. I do not normally write review of other companies but Watercourse Design is different. After working on three different projects in the last year and seeing there work, I felt compelled. This company was always professional. The landscape designs were well thought out, with many unique ideas and not the cookie cutter approach I commonly see in other designs. The staff on the site are also a pleasure to work along side. They have great communication with others, attention to detail and a common goal to have a great product in the end. These guys are great.

We had a very good experience with Watercourse. Ian came up with a good design we tweaked slightly but pretty much loved what he came up with on his initial design. Execution was somewhat challenged last Fall with the significant rainfall but everything got done just before the freeze. Honestly couldn't have had a much better experience. We LOVE the final product.

I have worked with Ian and his team on a number of projects and refer them to others on a regular basis. Ian has a great design sense, but is very willing to work with us to incorporate our ideas. He and his team do whatever it takes to get the job done right and Ian is very focused on delivering on time and within our budget. We plan to continue to use Ian and Watercourse again and recommend them.

Ian is imaginative, innovative, cooperative .... and most important, practical. He had ideas for our cottage garden, but so did we, so we chatted and worked and laughed together until we had a plan which suited us all. He has returned often to tweak choices and resolve issues since installation. His crew is professional and hardworking.

Ian and his crew did a wonderful job of restoring our aging hardscape. They re-leveled and cleaned our pavers, block walls, and flagstone as well as improved drainage of rainwater.
