Our project was complicated and we knew we needed a company with expertise in both beautiful design and capable execution. We are glad we chose Wallace Landscape. Our designer (Eric Lesson) worked with us to create the best landscape plan to perfectly suit our vision and budget. Our designer was flexible and creative in meeting the challenges of the site, and he promptly addressed issues when they arose. Not only is the final design both functional and beautiful, but also (just as importantly!) it was installed with skill and care. The Wallace team and the subcontractors were polite, professional, and cleaned the site daily. These are professionals who clearly take pride in their work. The brick, flagstone, and cobbles were installed with expert precision and with fine attention to detail. Our project involved storm water management, which added another level of complexity. The Wallace team interfaced with the township and made sure all requirements were satisfied. We are so pleased with how the project turned out and highly recommend Wallace Landscape Associates!

We wanted to upgrade an existing patio as well an improve our landscape design for our new patio and backyard. We found WLA (specifically Eric Leeson, RLA, ASLA) through a friend whose patio we admired. After sitting down with Eric discussing our ideas and our wish list for our patio, requesting that we wanted all of the elements to look as though they had always been part of the lot, he spent quite a bit of time assessing the yard, returning to see the yard in different light during the day and getting a feel for how to orient the patio to preserve the best views as well as taking into consideration the empty lot next door to us (a house would be built in the future). At that point, we knew that we could not follow through with this project without Eric! Eric returned to us with not one but 5 different plans and would often e-mail us yet another "back of the napkin" drawing he was thinking about (which he would incorporate into the plan with our yea or nae). The drawings were nearly complete when he brought in a builder to design a structure to "roof" the patio who we were immediately comfortable with and hired him as well. From the demolition to the completed project, we were very happy with Eric and the crew from Wallace he assigned our project.. From the demolition which began on June 8th to completion in late September (2015) we were impressed with the quality of the work, the attention to detail, the respect for our property and general work ethic of everyone working on this project. The patio and landscaping were exactly what we were hoping for - all of the elements on our wish list were successfully incorporated into a design that looks as though it has always been part of our house. We now have a beautiful and very comfortable outdoor room that we have been enjoying with our extended fall weather!

We worked with Eric Leeson and Wallace Landscape Associates to develop a landscaping master plan for our property in West Chester thru the winter of 2014. Eric listened to our thoughts and presented a plan that both met our needs and respected the traditions of a well-known home in the borough. Over the summer of 2015. we implemented the first phase of the plan and were highly impressed with the flexibility of the Wallace team. From partnering with the borough as we worked through line-of-site traffic requirements to fitting additional smaller projects into the schedule, the support Eric and his team provided exceeded our expectations. Design talent and knowledge was superb, communication was excellent, work was completed on time, and Eric's wise counsel was always available.

We hired Wallace Landscape to re-build a patio and fireplace next to our pool and modify and augment existing landscaping around our home. The plan they came up with was ideal and unique and they implemented the plan very well. The workers were very polite and skilled. After the project was generally complete they came back to fix some items and re-do some of the beds which we appreciated. In general, they are an organization that can provide both solid design capabilities along with the ability to execute the plan and we were pleased with the overall result.

Laura Miller of Wallace Landscape Associates did an incredible job landscaping our property. The project involved building multiple stone retaining walls in addition to plantings. We receive lots of compliments on the beautiful stonework. The construction team were all very nice and excellent craftsmen and the entire project was very well managed.

My husband and I are beginning phase 2 of our landscape project with Wallace Landscape, which in itself is high praise. When we originally interviewed landscape companies we looked for, among other things, someone who would be willing to work very closely with us, since this is one of our favorite parts of any project. Richard listened very closely to our likes and dislikes, and we went back and forth with ideas which was a lot of fun. We are very happy with the outcome of phase 1 and looking forward to further collaboration going forward.

We have worked with Laura Miller and her skilled craftsman at Wallace Landscape Associates for over 15 years on projects both large and small. Whether it's a front patio, side deck, trellises, vehicle bridge, or carriage house Laura always hits the mark on her designs which are always functional and stand the test of time. Laura is also no stranger to solving tough design problems. We needed additional space to store a vehicle but our property is somewhat long and narrow and was bisected by a small brook which cut off most of the usable backyard. Laura came up with the idea of building a vehicle bridge over the brook and even installed a material that allowed us to access the bridge with our vehicles via the side yard without damaging the grass. The carriage house and stone wall on the other side ease into the slope of the yard and look like they have always been there (the hallmark of good design). Of course Laura’s skilled craftsmen make it all reality. They are professional and friendly (even handling our daily barrage of silly questions) and clearly take pride in their work. Let me give one example. They were installing some very large boulders into a planting bed on a steep hillside. The boulders were very difficult to handle and place. They would install a boulder with great effort and step back and take a look. If the did not like what the saw they would remove it and try another angle. They did this on several occasions. Laura was not around at the time and they had no idea we were watching. They just wanted it to look right. Talk about the peace of mind you get being able to leave your house in the morning and know the project is going to be in good hands. The most professional experience I've ever had with a contractor! From the very beginning, Richard Lyon listened to us, our dreams for our yard, and was able to create a plan that truly brought the vision to life. Every element we imagined was delivered: an enclosed vegetable garden, a turtle pond, privacy, intimate spaces mixed with open spaces, seasonal blooming color and varied textures. He did his research (we had no idea what was needed for a turtle pond!), made thoughtful recommendations, showed us illustrations and 100 percent adhered to the budget he promised. His team was professional, respectful of our property, stayed on the schedule they promised and attended to the plants long after they were installed to ensure they thrived. We are now in year two, and Richard proactively reached out to determine how we survived the brutal winter. If I could upload photos, I would. Our yard is a delight and brings us joy every day.
