Our front door and courtyard door are beautiful, but we have had some problems with chipping and rust and water leaking into the house. Working with the service department now to try and fix & resolve these issues, but the verdict is still out as to how they take care of things post purchase and outside of the warranty period. I will try and remember to update this review once we have been serviced to give additional feedback.

Sorry for the negative experience you’ve had. All our doors are painted with a 4-step automotive paint finish so that the finish lasts well above the industry standard. However like all steel, if the finish is chipped or scratched it will oxide over time. Your door was installed almost 3 years ago today so there would be a service deductible applied to refinish your door, but we are happy to help. Please reach out to our office if you’d like to schedule this service.

Visionmakers International, LLC of Mesa, Arizona sold me an expensive front metal door and frame for that door. The handle to the door is so close to the frame that you have to be *very* careful not to have your hand crushed when closing it. I have already injured myself considerably (felt like I broke my had and caused bleeding and swelling), and so has a guest. I asked the supplier to make simply fix it, but they refused. This is a dangerous product that causes injury, and the company doesn't care enough about their customers to fix it? After emailing the *owner* AND my sales rep twice, the owner wrote an email back, "We wish you the best." If that's true, wouldn't they want me and my guests not to be injured? (BTW: they charge $650 for a single-door install, and it takes them less than two hours to install).

Mr Barrett has been a challenge to please, but we hope he will be pleased after realigning expectations.

A door install takes 2 men, a trailer, a delivery, and 3-5 hours to install, including weather stripping, threshold, sweep, lock, roller catches, ensuring door is exactly plum, sealed up 100%, paint touched up. VISIONMAKERS makes nothing on the install, all $650 goes to our licensed installer Diversified Structures who we trained on installs over a year. Mr. Barret turned down our install and used his own contractor trying to save $$.

We have sold and/or installed thousands of doors in AZ since 2004, and have a great customer reputation, a perfect ROC and BBB records. We try extremely hard to please our valued customers and do so 99% of the time. We regret the few who despite our greatest reasonable commercial efforts, cannot have their expectations met.
We are one of only 2 metal door companies that I am aware of out of 15+ in AZ that have not gone bankrupt, or closed and reopened under new names since 2004.

Many doors in the market - wood, metal or otherwise - do have a handle spacing that cannot be cosmetically set to avoid a knuckle rap by the inside hand. It depends on the door design and the style of pull selected, when this may or may not be an issue. Using the opposite hand is free of any issues, and the meet all UBC codes.

Mr. Barret bought this clearanced price door from stock with door handles installed. We are willing to remove the handles and reset to his liking (though they will not look as cosmetically pleasing), reweld and repaint for a $450 fee, but the customer does not want to pay to modify it.

We regret his displeasure and are willing to meet all his demands for the appropriate cost, but not for free. Best Regards, Lane Cook owner.

The Savvy Lockbox Interiors

I worked with Court at Visionmakers and I cannot say enough about this company and the customer service I received. We needed some work on the exterior of our home. Specifically, some detail around our entry and our front windows, both of which are fairly large. Court was able to not only design the custom cantera to add bulk and heft, he gave us a fair price and a timeline, both of which he fulfilled perfectly. We weren't the hugest job but we felt like priority number one for this company. I was pleasantly surprised at the additional products they now feature in their showroom. I can't wait for my next project. Visionmakers will be the first place I visit for ideas and help in design. I'm including shots of the before pic that got me thinking of this change in the first place and then shots of the finished work that I'm so so happy with.

Wood Building and Development

I am a general contractor and have worked with Visionmakers for years. I can always depend on their quality and workmanship. This particular project was unique because it was my own daughter. She was trying to emulate a front elevation on my own home that I had Visionmakers do a few years ago. It turned out even better than mine. I would give this company my highest recommendation, and will continue to use them on all future jobs that require stone and/or decorative iron doors.

They have been responsive to my design ideas and then have crafted them with a beautiful attention to detail. Their installers additionally have been fabulous. Visionmakers was a fresh experience from many other companies I looked into for stone work on our project. From the Acanthus columns, and the custom designed stone fireplaces, the owner had such an insight into possibilites based on my personal taste for my project. It was amazing to see the ideas come to life in stone. They bent over backwards to make sure that I was 100% happy with the finished artistry.
