Arnold and his staff did an absolutely amazing job replacing the handrails. They thought through every detail and anticipated problems with the site and installation prior to starting the work. Their attention to detail was incredible! The quality of their workmanship was outstanding! The crew were extremely customer focused, giving me options along the way whenever the design or the site presented a challenge or tweak. It was by far the absolute best experience and outcome of any contractor project I have done in 30 years. You do not ever have to nanage your expectations with Vintage. They meet and exceed all expectations. Worth every penny.

Arnold and his team were amazing. I previously had my staircase redone by a handyman to save money and boy I will never do that again. The handyman left my staircase with issues and most of all wasn’t complaint to VA code. Arnold and his team were the only contractors to see the issue and right off the bat knew my staircase wasn’t to code. Arnold and his team did a killer job and were so professional and brought my staircase to life and back to VA code. Not only were they affordable but he was fair. His work is 10/10. Everyone needs to use this company. Kudos Arnold and your team.

Bottom line upfront: Extremely professional, absolutely fantastic price points, stellar work. I’d been looking to have a small staircase and two handrails replaced since pre Covid. After reaching out to over 30 contractors, only six responded and only three made a house visit. The first “highly rated” contractor never even bothered to provide me with an estimate after visiting and a follow up call from me asking for the quote. The second contractor was very overpriced in comparison to the quote I received from Vintage Floors. Vintage Floors was able to do the job quickly and the installation people treated my home as if it were their own and they were very courteous and beyond meticulous. Other than the beautiful, more contemporary staircase (1st pic) - when they departed there no evidence that they’d ever been there. As expected, Mr. Morello - the proprietor was the epitome of excellent customer service! Although my project may have been a small job, he and the installers treated it as if it was one for which I was shelling out several hundred thousand dollars.

It’s rare to find a contractor who gets it perfect from start to finish but Arnold was exceptional. He and his crew went above and beyond to install a beautiful stair rail and even threw in a matching baby gate. Don’t look elsewhere, these guys are experts in their craft!!

I'm completely impressed with the Professionalism, work quality and punctuality of Vintage Wood Floors and Stairs. Arnorld listened to our desires for the project. He analyzed our needs and provided solid recommendations. He took the time to demonstrate how will our new stairs would look like. He provided options for us to choose from. Once he had a clear understanding of what our desires were, he searched for the specific material we wanted and provided an estimate. He described in detail what the entire project entailed. He clearly articulated the quality of his employees and how he selected them. Once the work began, I was able to see, from day one, the crew's work ethics, their punctuality, and how meticulously they worked throughout. Jose and Daniel are the ultimate professionals. They were very focused on their tasks. They identified areas that could be better customized and briefed me. Jose provided great options. They worked very hard and put 10 hour days. They continuously vacumed the work area to ensure it remained cleaned. At the end of each day, they cleaned the entire work area. This crew was impressive. The final product was impressive. My house has an entire different look. It looks like a brand new house. Arnold told me before the project began: " Mr. R... The stairs are the soul of the house." Seeing the completed work now I realized what he meant. Arnold, Jose and Daniel are the best individuals I have ever hired, barr none.

Unlike many of the other reviews, I'm writing this review 3 years after the project completion date. I'm writing it now because today I found myself thinking how much I still love my floors. I also find myself still talking about Vintage and recommending them to anyone who will listen. I can say, without hesitation that Mr. Morello was the most pleasant contractor I have ever worked with (and we've done a lot of work on our home). He gave us exactly what we wanted (a custom stain on hardwoods, 2 staircases w/ spindles) on time and on budget. When we discovered that our stairs were not to code and would need extra work, he brought them up to code with no additional charge! Mr. Morello is a nice guy who kept our house clean and did a great job. Out of all the projects we've done on our home, the floors are still my favorite after 3 years.

Arnold and his team are top notch. I wish every contractor was as considerate, careful and worked with the same level of craftsmanship. My wife and I hired Arnold to replace the iron bannister and railing on our main staircase as well as paint the risers white. We received three bids and Arnold's was fair and right in line with the other bids but his communication and attention to detail regarding what we wanted was why we chose to go with him. My gut feeling on him turned out to be right. He told us his schedule was extremely full and he would try and fit us in over the next 2-3 weeks, but it could be longer than that. He is very honest and transparent and what he said turned out to be true, it was roughly 3 weeks. It was scheduled to be a one day job, but ended up going over to a second day but only by a couple of hours due to the fact that Arnold and his team worked an extremely long first day doing their best to complete the job. Throughout the process they were very mindful of not making a mess, using a sander attached to a dry vac and when cutting wood outside Arnold constantly blew the dust off my driveway with a leaf blower. I'm extremely satisfied with the work Arnold and his team did and I hope the current crisis does not severely impact his business.

Arnold and his team did a great job with our stairs. He replaced carpeted stairs with hardwood, replaced the balusters, and painted and stained the railings, stairs and risers. We waited a long time to make this investment, so we did a lot of research, and were happy to find a skilled carpenter. Arnold pays great attention to design and details, and clearly takes pride in his work. He wants to get the job right for you. As a bonus, he was easy to have around the house, and was very patient with family members and pets. We highly recommend Vintage!

My family is extremely pleased with Vintage Wood Floors and Stairs. Arnold and his assistant replaced our floating staircases. The steps were carpeted and the wood underneath was builders grade. We did not want to go the carpet route. Arnold offered a creative solution to replace each step with new hardwood and brackets. The end result is beautiful and Arnold is a true professional and craftsman. We are so glad we contracted with him. We initially found Vintage through a web search. We had been looking for months for a contractor but were not comfortable with any we had previously contacted. Arnold and his co-worker are timely, informative, neat, and hardworking. We highly recommend Vintage and will have them back to our house for future projects.

Not only were they professional in interactions with me, but the neighbors said they never saw a bunch of junk laying in the yard overnight. Love our experience with Vintage! Arnold is professional, respectful, fair, and accommodating. We knew right after meeting him that he would be the best fit to complete our newly installed wood stairs (they needed to be patched and painted) and stain/replace our bannister and railings. Arnold is truly an honorable and talented craftsman who took great efforts to ensure our two new railings and balusters fit with the style of the home. He showed up for his initial appointment/assessment promptly and arrived on the agreed upon day. His service is exceptional and he maintains the highest of standards when designing and working. He envisioned exactly what we needed, both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound in design. His selections of materials were perfect and he ensured that every little detail was factored into the job. As his website states "he does everything possible to please his clients." Prompt, courteous, talented and professional. Arnold is proud of his reputation and truly should be. When we need our floors refinished and other work done, Arnold will be the first one we call. We don't even need to "bid out the job" as we know he's exceptionally fair in his pricing.

Due to water damage in our basement, we decided to replace carpeting with wood flooring. Arnold told us about correct flooring for a basement and we picked engineered wood which will endure and looks great. Arnold took great efforts to put down part of the flooring so we could see what it would look like before we were committed to the project He also installed hardwood stairs from the basement to the first floor. He finished the project in a week at a great price. This is the second time Arnold has improved our home with quality a installation in our home as he previously put in banisters. If we need any more wood installations, we will definitely hire Arnold again. His service and finished projects are exceptional.

Our townhouse has four levels. Four staircases (42 stairs) connect the lower level, living room, dining area and kitchen with the upper level. Wall-to-wall carpet was removed from the 15’x20’ living room, all stairs and a top floor landing. Vintage Wood Floors & Stairs installed beautiful oak flooring in the living room and upstairs landing. Matching oak stairs were installed to replace existing stairs. Arnold Morello is truly a master craftsman; he and his crew completed this major renovation, which included moving and relocating antique furniture, without a single problem. The result is fantastic. They were meticulous about keeping everything clean and dust-free. They are dependable, professional, offer reasonable prices, and the workmanship is top-of-the-line. We highly recommend them.

Arnold is a consummate professional. We had a complete failure by another floor installer who left us a project half done and totally out of code. Arnold came in, assessed the situation and work needed to correct the situation and provided a very good budget estimate and timelines. He fully delivered on his commitment and we have a terrific stairs and flooring that is beautiful. He had a number of excellent recommendations and optional approaches and really demonstrated expertise and a lot of professional level talent by him and his team. Our stairway needed a complete over-hall, including treads, risers, newel posts, railing, balusters, wood flooring. The original structure was poorly built in 1977, so it had to be completely gutted and rebuilt from scratch. Every stair had a different measurement, so it was not easy, but from start to finish it was that rare excellent job. Great communication, professionalism, knowledge of what needed to be done. Arnold sanded and stained our existing wood stair treads, replaced our banister and balusters and laid wood flooring in our upstairs hallway. Arnold and his crew were meticulous, neat and very respectful of our home. The finished product is gorgeous! The time Arnold put into coming up with the color of stain we wanted, was so appreciated and showed in the end result. In fact, we plan to hire Vintage Wood Floors to sand, stain and place new flooring throughout our main level in the very near future. Several contractors have commented on the quality of craftsmanship that was put into our new stairs, that says a lot! I highly recommend Vintage Wood Floors & Stairs. I hired Vintage to re-stain my banisters and replace the balusters with wrought iron. The Owner, Mr. Morello, was very responsive and explained the process to me. He provided a detailed explanation of the project, including options and gave me a formal quote within hours. Vintage arrived on time and protected my flooring and carpeting while they worked. At the end of each day, they ensured the area was vacuumed before departing. The final project turned out better than I expected. I would absolutely recommend Vintage for any project.
