VHI helped us from beginning to end to make our gut/rebab/addition turn out exactly as we were hoping it would. Vicky incoporated our input with her own insight to create the perfect balance of traditional and modern. The amount of time and revision that was spent on lighting fixtures and some design challenges was invaluable. Vicky was extremely understanding of our time frame, and because we were out of town most of the contruction phase, used our phone meetings and mailings to make us as efficient as possible. Victoria Hardy Interiors (VHI) helped us design our new 1800 square foot home in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood. This was a complete restoration as we replaced virtually every aspect of this short sale. Vicky worked closely with us to identify and refine our tastes, customize our designs, and manage our orders. Vicky's attention to detail was excellent, especially since she was mangaging multiple rooms over a reasonably short deadline. Vicky also worked well with my contractor and did a nice job of allowing us to shave costs of the total design by picking items out where we could, providing us suggestions at different price points, and guiding us through where and how to maximize our budget.

Vicky was such a pleasure to work with. She spent time with us to understand our design aesthetic and then brought options to us so that we could choose what would work best for us. Because she had experience with construction and design, she was able to design for the best functionality of the space. Our contractor praised her as being one of the best designers that he had worked with because of the details that she was able to provide to him, including line drawings and specs. I hired Vicky to decorate my new house, including the family room, living room and dining room. I was just moving from the city to the suburbs and needed all new furniture for all three rooms. She also ended up helping with the kitchen. Vicky was fantastic throughout the entire process. She was very responsive, even answering her phone whenever I was shopping at various stores looking at items she had suggested. The reason for a decorator was I know what I like but can't put it all together. Vicky helped with this and more - she had many ideas that I never would have thought of and selected items that I wouldn't have selected myself, such as the living room rug, but ended up loving. She also selected paint colors - I would have gone with the neutral more brown colors - she suggested more of a gray look and it turned out fabulously. One of the things I liked the best was the way she incorporated pops of color - this is something I would not have been able to do on my own and it turned out really well. From the onset, Vicky laid out how the process worked - she had me order the furniture in the correct order so that the things we really needed right away arrived timely. We created a budget at the beginning and she adhered to this perfectly, which was a big factor for me. Overall, I was completely satisfied and have plans to hire Vicky to do more work later on.

Vicky is great to work with! I hired her for a small project to help revamp a small half bathroom. Vicky was great & gave me tons of great selections to choose from. I was mainly looking for a fun wallpaper and ended up with a great new mirror and light fixture to really complete the room. I would highly recommend Vicky for any project big or small.
