As a response to this review I would like to give some clarification. We were hired to provide consultation and design concepts only. The execution of the project was not included in our Scope of Work. We were not made aware of your detailed project timelines or that you had begun removing/replacing items in your bathroom until late in the process. We made every effort to get the fixtures in to meet your timeline and sent multiple follow-up communications about the status of everything. We coordinated both directly with the showroom and you and at no point did we tell you to deal with the showroom only to seek remedy. Styling and supervision of the installation of the master bathroom fixtures was not part of our agreement or requested by you in this initial phase of the project.
Your comment about me not “being not reachable by phone and reprimanding you and making you feel bad” is completely untrue. I never “reprimanded” you about payment terms as these were disclosed when the agreement was signed and there was no disagreement about the terms until it came time for you to pay the final bill (in which I had already offered you a grace period). I treat all my clients with the utmost respect and professionalism. The only requests I ever made were in keeping with our agreements from the beginning of the project and I made them with kindness and empathy for your personal situation.
There are always things that can go smoother and communication that can be better, but we responded to all communication in a timely manner. On occasion, members of my team did reply to your requests, which is part of our normal operations so that issues can be handled in a timely manner. As all my clients are made aware, it is our role is to expedite and double check your purchases and to follow up in case of loss or damage. Please bear in mind that while we do everything to keep deliveries on schedule, we cannot answer for those vendors who do not make promised delivery dates.
Payment was requested in full for all materials per our agreement at the onset of the project. There was not a 16 week delay on fixtures as you indicate in the review, the faucets were delivered 7 weeks from ordering (a week early from the normal 8 week lead time). The showroom did make a mistake on the order and we worked as quickly as we could to resolve it, checking in weekly to try and rush your order as much as possible. I asked for the client to keep in good communication with me about their schedule with the trades so that we could try and get materials in on time, but unfortunately we were left out of the loop on some of that communication. When we are tasked with managing an install, we do not start remodeling projects until all materials are on site so that the costs and time for execution can be minimized. This is normally not an issue on a project when we are able to manage it or have proper communication on client schedules. There was a hiccup with your fixtures towards the end of the project, but I believe that we were responsive and worked to resolve any issues and even covered a significant restocking fee back to the vendor, despite you signing off on the fixtures.
I believe we conducted ourselves with professionalism and worked to resolve your plumbing situation as quickly as possible. I do not believe that your review is accurate in describing the level of organization or service that we provide on client projects.
