At first I didn't now if I needed a designer for our recent bathroom reno but after a few trips to suppliers that left me feeling overwhelmed I realized there was no way I was going to be able to put together the look I was going for without professional help. We didn't have endless funds but we also couldn't afford to make expensive mistakes because it's not like you can rip up a tile floor and resell it on kijiji to recoup some of the cost. Enter David Crosson. Oh. My. Goodness. David has that perfect mix of professionalism and creativeness with a dash of humour thrown in that went a long way to talking me off the reno ledge when I wasn't sure if the choices I had made were right. His contacts within the design community were invaluable and gave me design options I wouldn't have known existed if I hadn't hired him. We were nervous to reno our bathroom given all the horror stories that exist in the reno stratosphere but I knew from the first site visit that we were in good hands with David. Our reno experience was amazing. I can't recommend David enough. Simply put: We love everything about our new bathroom. The entire experience was exceptional. We will definitely be hiring David when it comes time to redoing our kitchen. Can't wait!

David’s nuanced understanding of colour and his appreciation for fine art set him apart from other designers. I was drawn to David’s portfolio through his masterful use of a Ted Godwin painting in one particular photograph. I also have a small Godwin, and he did an outstanding job of integrating our piece into the design. David brings a substantive understanding and depth to working with art. He also listens carefully, moulding his ideas to our tastes and budget but taking it a step further with his own exceptional colour schemes. Our thirty-seven year old house needed significant upgrading and remodeling to help enhance our lifestyle for the next ten to twenty years. The flooring and painting were already upgraded, but it was the outdated master bath and kitchen that needed to be more functional and glamorous. David helped us achieve this goal. We presented him with an idea to completely reconfigure the layout of the master bath and customize a “floating” back-to-back vanity centered in the room. With David’s help this lovely bright room also includes a free-standing tub, custom shower, gorgeous tile, functional clothes cupboards and heated floor. It is truly a beautiful room. The kitchen was transformed to appear bigger and brighter by removing the false ceiling, adding plenty of light and enhancing the clean and workable space with new cupboards, pullout drawers and modern doors all complementing the new state-of-the-art appliances. I had a wonderful experience working with David for a home rejuvenating project. He identified our style and encouraged us to be a bit bolder in some of our choices. He has a tremendous knowledge of products available and saved us a lot of time by honing in on what he thought would be right for us. I am extremely satisfied with the work completed by Barbarian at my home. The advice I was given on colour, fabric, texture, furniture, accessories and finishings was expert. From the first phone call to the end of the project, I thoroughly enjoyed working with David. He was always on top of all aspects of the design, furniture selection and installation of the entertainment area from bringing in fresh new ideas to making sure we were happy with the final results. The lobby of our condominium building had a lovely, if dated, marble floor from the late 1960s. Over the years we have doctored the walls with paint trying to complement the dark green and salmon tiles but the foyer has never looked amazing. This spring we engaged David Crosson to implement a fresh new design. Using the colour in the tiles as a jumping-off point, he came up with a paint palette and furniture scheme that transformed the space into an attractive garden-style room. All it took was his keen eye to put together a simple, cost-effective design that works for our space—including the marble floors.
