Vanessa rocks, plain and simple! As a guy (and one with an ego) I’m a visual person and didn’t think she needed to do much with my family room, as I thought I had already done a decent job on my own. Well Vanessa came in and gave my place the classy but cozy feeling I wanted while keeping that “wow” factor I wanted. When I came home, cuz much to my chagrin she did not want me there (smart lady), “WOW” is what I said when I came home. My place looks killer and and it’s always great when someone exceeds your expectations, especially this guy that is tough to please!!

I had been researching bathroom renovations, best practices and about the experiences of others. A lot of money was involved and I didn’t want to get this wrong. I was really stressed out and procrastinating (something I’m really good at). I finally got up the nerve to get quotes from three other businesses I’d found through a referral website. They all came in, quickly took some measurements and left. The ballpark quotes they gave me were all about the same. I was even more stressed out, and just as uninformed about the process as before. When I had my first meeting with Vanessa, it was the opposite. She took the time to understand what my ultimate goals were and was very professional and personable. We talked about my style and color preferences, and she explained her design process and what I could expect. She came back with more than one idea as to the layout (she wanted to give me options). She had also researched furniture, fixtures, flooring and colors and gave me options to choose from (very difficult to do, because they were all things I really liked). She worked had to get the best possible results while staying within my budget constraints. There are so many details and decisions that need to be made to ensure the job goes smoothly and all the elements work well together. I’m glad that I took the advice of other renovators and hired a designer first; and I’m very happy (and lucky) that I was able to work with Vanessa. Vanessa is very knowledgeable and friendly, and just really, really good at what she does. She made the project much less stressful for me as she was more of a partner through this process. We’re doing the master bathroom next. Then, maybe the kitchen…

Vanessa is an amazing home decorator designer and consultant! Patio Layout Design: I absolutely Love, Love, Love my new covered patio space! After, I bought all my new patio furniture. I made an appt with Vanessa to shared my vision and dream of what this new outdoor covered patio living space would be. Vanessa took what I shared with her and laid out the space by working with what I had and made design suggestions which I loved and I added more pieces to the space. After all, the right pieces arrived and ready for the design arranging. In complete trust, I left the space area so that Vanessa and her assistant to decorate and place the new dream patio design space. When all was done, my heart was in complete Awe and my arms full of goose bumps! I saw my dream space come to life! Vanessa helped my space come through with so much enlightenment...I saw new beginnings, healings, peaceful and joyful covered patio space for all that come and visit. Already everyone that comes to visit is drawn to the patio space and wants to stay. Vanessa has a professional vision for design decorating in ANY space! She’s so patient, sweet, and fun to work with!...You can’t go wrong with working with her! I would never miss an opportunity if I can work with her again! Vanessa Alo was a pleasure to work with. I contacted her after I had unpleasant experiences with two other designers. I am very happy to have found her. Vanessa is responsive, prompt, and attentive to detail, She was flexible, patient and encouraging when helping me with the finishing details of my project. She is knowledgable, has great ideas and is also considerate of client budgets. Her fees are consistent with the current designer market. I was very pleased and comfortable with VGA Designs and I would gladly consult with Vanessa on any future projects the I have.

Vanessa made what would have been a completely overwhelming experience a fun one. She was very easy to work with, and after our initial meeting, she came back with samples and ideas for our kitchen that were totally in line with our style. The best part was how she helped us narrow down our choices – she made it so easy! If we had tried to do that ourselves, we would have stared at hundreds of samples for hours and still not make a decision. Tiles, paint colors, countertops…it could have been overwhelming, but Vanessa made it fun. In addition to our kitchen design, Vanessa helped organize our main living areas (family room, command center, dining room). She came over and we brainstormed ideas, she made sketches for a gallery wall, and made suggestions on moving existing furniture around and also on a new piece of furniture. She kept my style, function, and budget in mind. After we met, I went to work and texted her pictures along the way. She was super responsive, and, I’ll say it again, she made it fun. This was the first time that we worked with a designer. We had such a positive experience with Vanessa. We are thrilled with how our kitchen and living areas turned out. Everything is functional, and pretty to boot.

I found Vanessa by chance, and boy did I get lucky! I love to design and decorate myself, and Vaness was great at encouraging my own ideas and giving me confidence to proceed, while guiding me and providing suggestions on some of the bigger issues. I also hired her husband as my contractor and they are an amazing team - responsive, cooperative, respectful, thoughtful. Both really kind and wonderful people too.

Professional, personable, creative, prompt... I had not a care when they were here, transforming my home into a holiday haven. Their designs are lovely and in concert with the look of my home. They will be back to disassemble and repack everything. The best! This is my second hire with VGA.

Vanessa provided a lot of great input and insights into how to make my home look more spacious and welcoming. I had consulted her for an hour on how best to make my home ready for the rental market.

May 4 2017 In December I purchased a home, I had a two month long escrow, which left me plenty of time to think about decorating my place with old and new stuff, all my ideas were jumbling around in my head, I didn't know how to take correct measurements :-/ then Vanessa stepped in! Weeeeeee Vanessa at VGA designs was so helpful and we had a blast!!!! It was so fun to send Vanessa pictures of things that I liked, and some actually didn't even go together but she would make it work, she help me design my living room by strategic placement of furniture, my place is very small, looks huge now! I would send her pictures of my ideas and she would put them in a picture where I can see how it would look! Awwwmazing I was crazy about these poppy pictures, Vanessa showed me how to add floating shelves with the pictures leaning on them, it looks so charming. I'm not real good at change, Vanessa made it so much fun, I love the way she switched lamps to make my room look bigger, I have a very high bed and they balanced it out perfectly. She didn't stop there she spent extra time with me arranging furniture on my patio area where I spent so much of my time. I love my new place!! Tina Cacci Livermore

Vanessa is very personable and knowledgeable with home and bath design. She is reliable and budget conscious. I would recommend her for a small or large remodeling project as she is very efficient with communication as well listening to her clients desires.
