My husband and I always struggle with decorating because we tend to like different styles, so we decided to hire Quill Decor. Valerie was so pleasant to work with and did a fabulous job of decorating our living room and dining room space while staying well within our budget. She was able to merge our styles so perfectly. She completely transformed these two rooms of our house and we are so glad we hired her! The best part is- my husband and I both love everything.

We couldn't have been happier with Valerie's help on our remodel project. My partner and I decided to move our coworking space in a pinch (much of what we sell is our aesthetic) and Valerie made all the right decisions way faster than we should have asked her to. I think I'm extra picky, but Valerie did a great job of taking my input seriously without letting me make choices I wasn't qualified for. Valerie made my home decorating experience a complete breeze. She listened to my thoughts, but ultimately handled everything in such a timely, professional manner that I didn't have to give up headspace thinking about much of anything! Valerie was very thoughtful with the design, the furnishings and my crazy schedule. She knew how to respectfully move my project forward, take the reigns where I didn't have the bandwidth, and lead me to where I wanted to go. As a busy entrepreneur her help was invaluable. I didn't want to think through furnishing my home extensively, I wanted to give a vision and trust a professional to handle it with skill and care. She also: -gave me detailed spreadsheets and budgets. -proactively looked for sale items that fit my vibe. -politely followed up with me when she didn't get a response or the clarity I needed. -chose appropriate furniture and decorative pieces that fit my style. -provided direction. -kept costs reasonable. -gave expert advice. I had such a great experience I hired her to take action on an office project as well. Highly recommend. *Note we don't live in the same city so she was able to accomplish this effectively and would excellence without being at the house as long as I provided good measurements.

Working with Valerie was fantastic! Not only did she come to the table with a ton of great ideas, but is super fun to work with and flexible depending on your budget. She provided several great options for each area of our space, so we always felt like we had choices for each area, depending on our tastes/needs.. Also, she was great with incorporating some items we already had into the original design, that we would have never thought to keep. 5 out of 5! Can't wait to recommend her!!

I hired Valerie in 2014 to stage a home I was selling in Canada. Selling and moving can be a chaotic time, and she provided an all-inclusive review, staging and maintenance service. She paired well with the real estate agent and insured the house was in perfect showing conditions at all times. I really like that Valerie was able to adapt to my particular tastes quickly. Only after a few hours, she was able to recommend colors, fabric, placement, and purchase decorative items that matched not only my style, but made the house look fresh and fantastic. I have continued using her services in 2015.2016 for renovating a kitchen and bath. Of the three designers I used, she was the best at providing recommendations that matched my style even while she was remote. Highly recommended!

It finally feels like I live in my own home! We moved into a 1920s bungalow 4 years ago, throwing together living/dining room furnishings quickly and without a plan - and the space definitely looked that way. Valerie guided us through an improved layout to best utilize the (tricky) space, choose the perfect pieces, maximize every inch of real estate, and design an aesthetic that blends together both of our styles. I am not good with the details - thank goodness she IS. And she worked around our very tricky schedules and competing priorities! Valerie was an absolute pleasure to work with. Persistent in just there right way to keep the project on track, and flexible with each curveball I threw her way. Highly recommend!!!

Valerie is amazing! She loves what she does and it shows in her work. I've had the opportunity to work with her on some pretty great projects. She is very organized, knowledgable, articulate and has a great attention for detail. Valerie is a hard worker and makes the design process fun! Quill Decor provided consultation for my small kitchen remodel/redecorating. The Web site was great. The designer was responsive, kind, and knowledgeable. She helped me think through my choices and did research on products of interest to me. She was encouraging and really helped me move forward on my plans. I will definitely hire her the next time I need design help, and I'd love her help on a bigger project.
