We enjoy our new bathroom that Joel’s team did for us. They are very professional and clean up afterwards. The tile workmanship was very nice. We had custom cabinets and quartz countertops installed. We also had our kitchen/laundry room countertops & back splash done. We recommend there work. We also had our guest bathroom refinish by his team. Awesome work!

Joel and his crew remodeled our bathroom and did an amazing job. We get so many compliments! Our home was built in 1926, so it wasn’t an easy job. They were super efficient, organized, and dependable. I really appreciated their integrity and high quality work. This job was done in the fall of 2020 and everything is still working perfectly.

Hired Usher Building to renovate upstairs bathroom and renovate/add shower to downstairs bathroom. Had previous experience with Joel Usher from another project years ago and thought of him when it was time to get bids. Estimate was competitive but once we started we were very happy we went with Usher Building. Roman, the foreman was very attentive and communicative. We always knew what the plan and timetable was. All of the work was top notch and they made sure everything was done right and to our satisfaction. Will definitely go with Usher Building for our next (kitchen) project

Going with Usher Building was the best decision for our remodel. We remodeled our master bathroom and kids bathroom. We could not be happier with how they came out! Joel and his team are so professional and put in the time and work to make sure the project was done right in every way. They are skilled and were able to accommodate some specials requests for our project. They cleaned up throughout the day and before they left each night to keep our house as comfortable as possible during construction. They also gave us a weekly plan so we new what each day was looking like. Joel, Roman, Max and all the subcontractors they team up with were outstanding! We want to do our kitchen next and we wouldn’t go anywhere else! So grateful it was a smooth construction project and we love the results!

My husband and I completed a kitchen remodel with Joel and his team and we are very happy with the outcome. We took our time to gather several estimates from different companies and after shopping around, we went with Usher Building because it was within our budget Joel was helpful to modify anything we wanted to change. Other companies we met with did not provide helpful estimates. Joel was knowledgeable and clearly knew everything and everyone. From beginning to end, the team was timely and communicative. We both worked from home during the process and it was very smooth with no outages or disruptions during the workday. The crew was friendly and always polite. They informed us of each step and were always available to answer our questions via email or text. Every Sunday - Joel sent us an update on what to expect for the week and what time workers would be coming by. The kitchen remodel turned out better than I could have imagined! Their team did amazing quality work and the subcontractors were top quality as well. When it comes to a kitchen remodel we wanted to work a team we could trust and we are so happy we got to work with Usher Building & Design. We hope to work with them in the future for other home projects down the road!

Joel and his team did an outstanding job on our kitchen/home remodel. Project included removing a non-load bearing wall, complete kitchen demolition, new cabinets, island, appliances, removing tile/carpet throughout the house and installing hardwood floors, replacing lights/fixtures, painting and installing crown molding. We interviewed nine contractors and four provided estimates. Joel’s was not the lowest bid but was by far the most detailed. Joel even went up in our attic to verify if the wall we wanted removed was load bearing…none of the other contractors did this. Even with the supply chain issues (predominately on the appliances) Joel was able to adhere to his schedule and cost estimates. Quality of work was superb. Cabinet maker (Frank Thomas) provided CAD drawings of kitchen layout, recommended corner cabinets, microwave built in, pulls, molding, etc. In addition to the new cabinets and island in the kitchen, he refurbished our dining room cabinets so doors, paint and molding would match. Joel’s designer worked with us in selecting the backsplash, countertops, hardwood flooring and paint colors as well as providing a layout of backsplash around windows and countertops. Our kitchen required two quartz slabs, cutting and installation of four separate pieces (one was a corner piece) with no seams – gorgeous. Installation of the glass and stone backsplash required a lot of layout, preparation and cutting which was done perfectly. Flooring for the entire house was installed in three days. Two crews laid down flooring, inspected, cleaned and touched up. Joel’s technicians did all electrical, plumbing, sheet rock, demolition, painting, lighting, furniture moving, and clean-up. When all work was completed, Joel hired a special cleaning company to come in and perform a final cleaning of the entire house. Joel also obtained permits and was present during all inspections. Any leftover material was returned for credit. Highly recommend Joel and his team.

I had my tall tub converted to a shower in my bathroom. Usher did an outstanding job. Joel, the owner , walked me through selecting all the products. And each of his tradesmen did an outstanding job. I found them, dependable and of course very skilled with their jobs. Communication was excellent throughout the project. The shower turned out so beautiful and just what I wanted. Joel Usher's company just finished our master bath shower and what a great job they did. It's just what my husband and I imagined, and it was accomplished on time and in a very professional manner. I have added photos; the before, and the after. What a difference for us! Joel guided us through the process of having a curbless shower, new tile all the way up to the ceiling, no shower door, and a better shower experience for us. He utilises expert workers in their fields and uses high quality materials. Another important thing about Joel is his honesty. Our job began on time, it was finished as he promised, and everything was done according to how we had agreed without any substitutions or changes at the last minute and within the budget that was initially set out. Joel remodeled my master bath and guest bathroom. His employees we extremely clean and cleaned up every night. Joel was always in communication with us weather his men were going to be late or a part was delayed. Joel had to play interior decorator and help pull the materials together which his advice was amazing. They finished the job on time! I would use Joel again and would recommend him to anyone!! I hired Usher Building & Design to do my bathroom remodel. Previously my shower was very small; I didn’t think there was room to expand the shower. They expertly re-routed some of the plumbing which allowed room for a bigger, nicer shower! They also arranged for me to meet with a tile expert who helped me pick out floor and shower pan tile, and the result is beautiful. I just love my new bathroom and the whole project cost less than what I was expecting. The crew was very pleasant to work with. I would definitely hire them again!

I had a small electrical issue that was quickly and professionally fixed today by Joel's electrician. Usher B&D had completed a major master bathroom expansion and remodel a while ago for us and they did a great job. I call Joel for any work I need to have done around our home.

Not only was he professional, but he gave us a price that was unbeatable, while other bids were flat out outrageous. Joel and his team were able to start two days early and they went to town on the demo. His men are very hard working, professional and polite. They would answer any questions I had and were very respectful of our home. They made sure to clean up after each days work and would show up first thing the next morning. If we had any issues, Joel would make sure things got corrected. He was great with communicating and always got back to us regarding any questions or concerns. Ours was a spur of the moment job to remove a sunken bathtub and install a shower. Joel was very positive about the possibilities and the time frame, beginning the job within a couple of days and completing it in two weeks time. Throughout the process our home was kept clean and I was impressed with the way in which they protected our hardwood floors. Joel was helpful throughout the process and every time we asked to add something else he made it happen. So from just a shower remodel we got the entire bathroom redone in the same amount of time and it exceeded our expectations. The tile company he sent us to was very helpful and we couldn’t believe how easy it was to pick out tile. We were out in a half hour! We appreciated Joel’s thoroughness from his initial bid to every detail of the work itself. He has chosen very talented and friendly men to do the work and we could not be more thrilled with our experience.

We have worked with many contractors for various projects around the house, and Joel was absolutely the best contractor we've ever dealt with. He was attentive, knowledgable, pleasant, and kept to the timeline. He always got back to me immediately if I had questions. He would check in to see if we were happy and if we needed anything. Matt, one of his employees, cleaned up each day and at the end of the project (cleaning my light fixtures and window coverings). I would hire Usher Building and Design again. I hired Usher Building & Design to remodel a guest bathroom. From day one, Joel was very professional and informative. As the project progressed, I was kept up to date on each step and felt like more than just a customer.
