At Urban Wood Goods we use reclaimed wood from the deconstruction of pre-1920s structures to build one-of-a-kind modern rustic furniture including dining tables, desks, shelving and more. We celebrate the history and beauty of Old Growth wood in each piece of reclaimed wood furniture we create.

It's the Right Thing to Do. Re-using the lumber from old homes & buildings keeps this valuable commodity in circulation rather than it ending up in landfills or burn piles.
Unsurpassed Beauty & Character. All of the wood we use is old-growth lumber, originally sawn from some of the first forests to be harvested in the late 1800's and early part of the 1900's. Old-growth wood has been left virtually untouched in abandoned factories and century-old homes and barns throughout the Midwest. These woods are transformed by the natural aging process.
Connection to the Past. Old-growth reclaimed wood has a unique character and feel. It reflects a past when things were done a little bit differently, and gives evidence of another purpose and life that can only be imagined--and now re-imagined as handcrafted furniture made for you.
Higher Density + Harder + Stronger = Higher Quality. The rings are closer together in old-growth lumber because trees grew slower in the denser forests where they had to fight for sunlight and water.

We ordered a custom counter height table for casual kitchen dining area. We have had the table for 3 years now and it is perfect. We ordered it with the clear finish and I apply beeswax every couple of months. We will buy more

I am a repeat customer of Urban Wood Goods. My new tables are amazing and the custom designed shelving unit (to house my turntable and LP's) is absolutely perfect. This is a massive piece of furniture and working with their fabrication team on the structural design was easy because they spent the time to actually listen to what I was looking for...
My order for the business a couple of years ago was also perfect! Quality is beyond expectation. I ordered all 3/4 charcoal black steel pipe with the 2-1/2" thick Douglas Fir on both orders. (paid more for the 2-1/2" thickness but well worth it especially since I wanted each piece to stand out in the room)
If you are considering ordering from Urban Wood Goods, don't hesitate.

We purchased a new conference room table from Urban Wood Goods for our law firm and I cannot tell you enough how beautiful it is! WE LOVE IT and we have already received so many compliments from our clients. They were incredibly great to work with, super responsive and answered all of my questions and concerns. The delivery men were great to work with and get the table through a very tricky space without damaging our wood floors, walls or our new table. It is made of the highest quality and is sure to be enjoyed for many many years.

Yes we can. These aren't made from a single tree though. These are thick planks from floor joists of old buildings that we join to make custom tables. We can make a table to seat 16 for you.
