Aboeda Design

Abode built a ramp for our son wheelchair to the front door. They replaced the stairs making them less steep for safety purpose. They added additional hand rail for the stairs. We are very pleased with the work as they built it the way we had wanted saving space for access to our backyard from the front yard.

Aboeda took on a complicated project before this pandemic started, and still were able to get it done on time and on budget. They transformed the interior of an old ranch style house into a user friendly environment for the tenants that live there. They removed walls, installed a huge support beam almost as long as the house itself, remodeled a bathroom, moved cabinets in the kitchen, installed new flooring, installed drywall, painted, and more. Oh, they also built a ramp in the garage so that the house would be more accessible! I primarily worked with Patrick and Jonathan and would like to give a shout out to both of them for dealing all the idiosyncrasies that came up along the way, and waited patiently for me to help resolve them. Great work, Great Team! This is an unquestionable positive review and would recommend for any project!

I hope to work with the Aboeda team again on future projects! I'm very pleased with their work transforming my condo (untouched since it was built in 1980) into a tasteful and modern home. Patrick C and the team at Aboeda produced what I thought was impossible. Before contacting Aboeda for a condo kitchen remodel, disillusioned and behind schedule after a poor experience with Promondo, I thought that my only two options were IKEA or waiting months for custom cabinets. In the first call with Patrick, he addressed all of my concerns including completion time and proposed options that were ideal for my project. Aboeda staff (especially Jonathan B) were consistently efficient -- well-expressed professionals who get things done and are with you every step of the way. Aboeda Design did a remarkable job on my partial home remodel last autumn. The project included a custom safety redesign of the front door, safety lighting for the dining room, laundry room and kitchen; a custom safety redesign of the stairwell windows, kitchen sink and cabinetry and bathroom toilet. It also included converting our garage into a safe space for autism behavioral therapy. We are so pleased that we are sending them more business in other parts of our home. They went above and beyond and did more than expected in order to keep an autistic 12 year old safe. These are the good guys. Don't hesitate to hire them.

We recently completed a major remodel, working closely with Steve Hunter and the Urbanata team. Steve totally understood our design vision. He delivered beautiful, functional solutions and oversaw the installation of our new kitchen, pantry, mudroom and master bath. The results are stunning! Steve was great to work with. He has strong design skills, deep project knowlege and extensive experience. His communication and follow through kept us engaged and informed throughout the project. We have already recommended Steve and his team to several of our friends.

The Urbanata team was terrific to work with from initial meeting, through design, to installation and completion of the project. We had a multipurpose space that was carved up in small spaces that Urbanata opened up and redefined into a wonderful space we are still thrilled with well over a year after the project was finished in early 2016. The design team customized a unique layout for our space that delivered maximum flexibility, allowing for a large dining table that seats up to 12 when we entertain, and more work and cabinet space than I thought was possible. They helped us stay within our budget by knowing when to pick top of the line finishes and when to use beautiful, but more affordable options. We are very happy with the decisions we made with Urbanata's guidance. Every single finish looks even better today than when it was brand new. The space design works just beautifully!

We chose Urbanata as our design-build partner for a complete kitchen and great-room remodel at our mid-century view home. Val and his team (The Steves and Stephanie) worked with us through the highly collaborative design process and the result was an amazing kitchen with some unique custom features. Part of the process was the analysis of a wall that we wanted removed - they determined it was not load-bearing and designed the kitchen around the newly-opened space that they created. Urbanata's design aesthetic and materials were a perfect match for the remodel that we envisioned, and they were able to accommodate a number of additional projects throughout the great room. The entire space was completely transformed from dated mid-century to highly modernized Pacific Northwest mid-century modern.

Urbanata did a fantastic job on our extensive condo remodel. Great design, incredible attention to detail, expert advice from years of experience, a real collaborative spirit, constant problem solving, excellent craftsmanship, etc. We recommend them highly and would absolutely work with them again. Our remodel was a large, complex project with many moving pieces and they consistently impressed us. They completely redesigned the kitchen, removing a wall and creating a much more functional and visually appealing space. They reconfigured our master bath, transforming a dated, plain bathroom into an impressive european spa like retreat. Their recommendations for flooring, cabinets, countertops, and other finishes were not only beautiful, but they were much better values than things we could have found on our own. As with any large project, there were some delays (wrong product shipped by a vendor, etc.), and we ended up over-budget (mostly from things we added on along the way), but we always felt the team was looking out for us and treating the project like it was their own home. We never felt like they were putting us off or juggling us with other projects. Any time we picked up the phone, they were there to help. They worked 'clean' and all of our neighbors have commented on how nice the team was and how were never any problems. The completed project has exceed our expectations in every way. We couldn't be happier.
