私の考える空間というのは、そこに存在する必然性がある空間です。 そのためには、その土地がもつ気配のようなものを敏感に感じ取ることが重要です。都心部で住宅をつくる場合、感性を刺激するような環境 とういものが少ないのが現状です。住宅が密集していたり、環境自体が劣悪であるため、何をヒントに設計して良いかわかりにくい場合が多 いです。そのような状況下でもかすかなヒントを見いだすことができるかがポイントになります。 住宅の場合、同じ場所で40年、50年と生活が続きます。 ですからその地域や周囲の人々とともに素敵に歳をとっていける建築をつくっていかなければなりません。 素敵に歳をとるといっても、整形ばかりして80歳になっても皺ひとつない人は逆に不自然ですよね。建築も同様で、いつまでも新築の状態の ままではなく、笑い皺のたくさんあるおじいさん、おばあさんのような素敵な歳のとり方のできる住宅をつくりたいと思っています。 The space that I imagine, is a space that exists with necessity. For this to happen, it is very important to be sensitive to the energy and presence that the ground holds. When building in the city center, it is a reality that there aren't many places that can excite the senses. Due to houses being built so close together and the poor quality of the environment itself, there are many times when it is hard to tell what to use as a hint when designing plans. The point becomes finding a hint even in the most difficult of places. When considering a home, an owner will spend 40 to 50 years of their life in the same place. Thus, we must create a space where people can live harmoniously with their neighbors as they continue to age gracefully. However aging gracefully doesn't mean having plastic surgery so you are wrinkle free even at 80, as that seems very unnatural. Buildings are the same. They can't always been brand new, so I would like to make homes that age gracefully like grandmas and grandpas with many many laugh lines.
