The Rain Gutter Specialists

It gives me no pleasure to post this review, but Dave has left me no other choice. Our company completed a job for him in May. It is now almost November, and we still have not been paid. In the beginning of trying to collect payment, Dave assured me that he would be sending me a check "next week", once he settled up with the homeowner. That was on July 13. Since then, all emails and phone calls have gone unreturned. We will be taking legal action next, and will be contacting his bond company to let them know that he doesn't pay his subcontractors. This is completely unprofessional and anyone considering hiring him should be aware of his unscrupulous business behavior.

Dave Tuggey asked if we would consider writing a review for him. I shall cut to the chase. Dave Tuggey has been a savior for us. My wife and I love architecture. We love art, design, quality craftsmanship and we love being at home beyond travel. We spent a great deal of time designing every element of a modern day, Arts & Crafts style, no expense spared, California bungalow. This, after having homes as large as 16,000 sq. ft. Our first contractor spent more time remodeling his own recently purchased Hawaiian condo than he did working on our home. Our second contractor fled the state just before I had his California Contractors License revoked. Dave Tuggey literally saved our home and our sanity. We know Dave Tuggey to be honest, fair, easy to work with and someone who knows how to produce a quality product. What more might anyone be looking for in a General Contractor? I am an architect who focuses on high-end custom residential work in the greater Los Angeles area. I have collaborated with Dave Tuggey Construction on many different types of projects over the past ten years, from small garage and bathroom remodels, to large full-house tear-down and renovation jobs. Dave brings many decades of experience to his projects, and that shows in the high quality of his work. He is very easy to work with, and is always willing to put in the extra time and energy to review a project with a homeowner who might not be familiar with the construction process. Also, as a home builder he understands the priorities of the residential real estate market, so his work will focus on enhancing a property's value. I would certainly recommend his services to any LA area homeowner who is looking to build/renovate/remodel.

Dave and his Tuggey Construction team transformed our modest rental apartment into a beautiful home within our budget! We hired them to refresh the apartment with a coat of paint. Dave came over to take a look and recommended some simple low-cost, high impact improvements to spruce the place up...paint colors other than white, change out the hardware and fixtures, replace the old laminate flooring and the ugly, standard vertical blinds and clean up the wood floors. The Tuggey Construction team worked on our apartment for less than a week and it looks amazing. We can't wait to buy our first home so that we can work with Dave on the remodel!!

I hired this company when I closed escrow on my new home. It was seriously outdated and needed a new kitchen and new bathrooms. Once construction began, we decided to do more work - move a few walls, new floors and paint. We initially met with the owner, Dave. He was such a pleasure to speak with and he delivered on everything he said he would. The quote/budget fit our budget and the work he and his crew came out better than we expected! We are so happy with our new home and we highly recommend this company to anyone looking to redo their home.

I hired Tuggey Construction to do the complete remodel of my master bathroom. Dave came in after our first contractor backed out and was willing to work with us to accommodate our special circumstances. His regular crew was on time every day and took great care to keep the mess to a minimum. All his subcontractors were likewise as reliable and professional and the quality of their workmanship was the very highest. In the end, I could not have been happier with the finished bathroom and would hire Tuggey Construction again.

We recently hired Dave to remodel our home and he did an amazing job! Dave and his crew are as professional as they come and his quality of work is the best I've ever seen. I couldn't be happier with Dave's work and I can't wait to buy another home and use him again to do a complete remodel! Highly recommended!!!!
