My wife and I hired TR Knapp Architects for our front porch project. Thomas was a pleasure to work with. He prepared architect plans quickly to submit to the city building department, and also made several changes and re-submitted the plans in a timely manner. He always had our best interest in mind, and answered our many calls quickly, finding solutions to help our project along. We had no issues with the timeline, Thomas was always prompt, stayed within our original budget, and worked very quickly as many changes were made along the way. Thomas finished the project meeting with the city building department expediting our permit. We are very happy with the whole experience having Thomas guide us through the labyrinth of red tape in working with the city building department. We would highly recommend TR Knapp Architects to anyone involved in a building project. Thomas proved to be highly professional, knowledgable, and experienced in getting the job done right! We are extremely happy with the outcome of this project thanks to TR Knapp Architects.

I highly recommend Thomas Knapp. He is very pleasant to deal with and he has a great sense of design. Thomas suggested the addition of a patio with arbor to our redesign and that suggestion (along with the rain chain!) really made a huge difference. Our house looks amazing. I was outside painting this past weekend and everyone walking by stopped to tell me how fantastic our "new" house looks. I was out of sight around the corner when a small group of girls walked by and one of them shouted out "That house is beautiful!" When does a 12 year old girl even notice a house? I guess when Thomas Knapp designs it. lol.

We were introduced to Tom through our general contractor. Tom was very professional and reliable. He brought new ideas to the project that we did not even think of that help enhance our project to improve the curb appeal to our home. Tom Knapp was highly recommended to us by close friends; our contractor also encouraged us to pursue Tom for our home improvement project. We have not regretted our decision to hire Tom as his visions for our home transformed our Cape Cod. His ability to listen to our "must haves" as well as our "if only" while offering insightful suggestions helped us transform our home. Tom's professional attitude and his expertise were essential; the stress on the project never became too much thanks to Tom's ability to listen to our needs, wants, and desires. Upon final payment for the plans, Tom could have walked away but he was so invested in our home and our family that he would visit the project to offer support and share a laugh or two. We couldn't be happier with Tom's services and we are still in awe of our home which truly was "transformed." We are very grateful that Tom worked with us and we highly recommend Tom Knapp Architects.

I had a fire in July 2014 and was told of Mr. Knapp and his company by my ex-husband's niece; who at the time was not an licensed Architect yet is now. She spoke very highly of him and recommended Mr. Knapp to me. My contractor and I spoke with him and asked many question. We both were extremely satisfied with him and his answers and the price he set for our needs. At anytime we called him to reach out for help he returned the call in a good timely manner; always eager to help and assist in anyway. Mr. Knapp not only complete and delivered his work on timely manner but showed me through his blue prints how highly educated and professional his work was. I never realized the work involved. I showed everyone with my story. Mr. Knapp's blue prints were amazing. Also he show me empathy for one of the most difficult situation I had ever been confronted with, the fire. He treated me as if I was his friend and was sincerely concerned for me. He moved quickly never delayed knowing his actions would postpone my contractors job. I now am back in my beautiful home and hope to have the opportunity to recommend him and his job well done to someone in need someday. TR Knapp Architects designed a bedroom/bath/walk-in closet addition over our 2 car garage and designed the necessary changes needed to repurpose an existing bedroom into a second floor laundry room. Tom was easy to work with, knew specs and code requirements, and drew up the blueprints in a timely manner. We were completely satisfied with his services.

We hired Tom to design a gut renovation on the 1st floor and an addition of a 2nd story. He had fantastic ideas for possible layouts and gave us ideas on how to use space that we would never have considered. You only have to ask him for changes once, and he is very quick to respond. All of the contractors and folks at the Village commented that our architect knew what he was doing and was extremely detailed. Even after we had our permit and he was fully paid, Tom was always willing to help if the Village required further information. If we build a house, we'll use Tom without a doubt. I couldn't recommend him enough.

TR Knapp took our 1930's Dutch Colonial home's original kitchen and half bathroom and turned it into a completely new layout that was far more functional, updated and stylish. One creative touch was taking a supporting beam that needed to be installed and put a graceful arch in it, which added tremendous character to the room. We had a local realtor do an evaluation about a couple years ago, and as soon as she saw the kitchen she exclaimed, "This is going to sell the house!" The project also involved taking our master bedroom and adding a walk-in closet and a new master bath. Tom is imaginative and has great passion his craft.
